Good posts, I also tend to visit this forum when killing time at work, business is not great!

I also think he is having some fun, but time will tell if he does decide to visit FSU, I am sure most would read his trip report, even if they do not admit it now.

Some people find his opinions offensive and some find them amusing, I am in the latter category. Remiel6, sorry but this is a forum, if I have an opinion I will post open, not in PM.

Hey Johnny I agree and feel the same way. Speaking of PM's Olga and I can't PM, send or receive email on the board here. This is the message I get

I heart Turbo.

Blues.. I am surprised you let him off the hook.  Losing your touch?  I am real disappointed.

And to the OP.. Duke.. go ahead and go to the FSU with that attitude.. I think you will discover a lot about yourself and the world around you.  Just, if you do.. please represent yourself as being from Trinidad or Greenland or something.. the US already has a bad enough reputation.   :devilish:

When I told them I was single and never married, it was the death blow to my dating american women.

Most Russians and Ukrainians would absolutely think it's odd that a 53-year-old man has never been married, and that his own shortcomings as a man are to blame. Any woman dating this guy would get an earful from her relatives about this.

Guys mistakenly think women are "different" in impoverished countries when the only difference is that some are desperate enough to overlook his shortcomings for a ticket to an easier life.

Don't forget to check the teeth
Hey Duke, Turbo's given some sound advice and I'd add, check the curtains match the carpet, these RW can be a crafty lot. Also you might want to ask if they have shag pile or cut pile at home ;D. Me, I prefer polished slate 8).

You know, all this bravada aside, you can conquer a lady who isn't a gold digger by the depth of your soul, devotion and uncompromising love. Do you believe in this, or are  frankly cinical?

Have you thought about this option? I know , if you were like this ( romantic), you would find a lady, who would appreciate this, and would not want more. There are such ladies in Russia. Hard to find, but there are some. Think about it. But you will have to make a lot of compromises.  Please, opine.

Ludmila,

Great post.  Everything you wrote hit the mark.  I just hope that Duke, if he is serious, reads your post carefully and decides if RW are for him.  He did not answer your questions so I assume he is ignoring you.  Too bad because you could help him.

You diplomatically refer to Duke’s behavior “bravado.”  Yet we all know he is RUDE.

While Duke is rude,  few RWD members realize that it is his nature imprinted in his youth by growing up in Philadelphia, especially coming from the New Jersey suburbs.

Philadelphia has a small educated class and a large undereducated class.  Many of the educated class come from long lines of “old money” dating back to the 18th C.  They live in an area near the Main Line. They are as properly mannered as the elite and nobility of England, where most had their roots.

The large undereducated class is indeed classless.  They are so bad that they once booed Santa Claus at a football game halftime show and pelted him with snowballs.  Yes, Santa Claus!  Philadelphia fans invented rowdy behavior well before European soccer fans.  In fact, to quell the behavior, the City held open court during football games where a judge would sentence rowdy fans to jail before the game ended.

The line is blurring between the two classes, yet it is still there as exemplified by Duke.

Ludmila, you diplomatically refer to Duke’s behavior “bravado.”  Yet we all know he is rude.  He can not help himself.  Duke’s rules about not dating educated smart women stem from the experience of many working class men who have encountered women from the Main Line rather than staying with the bimbos from South Philadelphia.  It is like adding acid to water.  His rules work in Philadelphia. My experience is that he will fail miserably in Russia because the average RW behave rather properly.

The BIG QUESTION is whether Duke can break away from his roots.  There are many examples of the Philadelphia working class having done this, e. g. Grace Kelly from a long time ago.  I am not saying that the RW are equivalent to European royalty, yet they are far superior in behavior than the Philadelphia bimbos who Duke dates.

...and speaking of Philly. I hope they bash the Yankees much like they did the D'Blues! Philly in 5!

As for the Duke, hhhmmm - he seem kind'a cool to me. I think he'll do very 'well' with women in FSU. Women are crazy about that mulato look.

He do need to chill a little bit though.

Good looks and good genes aside, where are the truly important aspects needed in a relationship? You know, stuff like the boy scout code: Truthful, honest, courteous, kind, caring, respectful. Do we have an Ambach wannabe here?

Hey fellow RW seekers,

Yes Turbo your right......a jab here and there is no big deal. But my wants and or needs of what I look for are serious. I really don't see the big deal. It's ok for the girls to be forward in their wants but I'm supposed to tip toe around?  come on get real................I never mention about being the best at anything.......or picking up girls......I merely describe what to watch out for.........and if you want, we can go hear what they have to say for yourself.......since you discredit my observations...........Do you think I pull this stuff out of my ass? Who's the fool? This is what i hear all the time or see by actions of these girls. I'm talking AW. I'm sure to a certain point RW are not too far off after hearing and reading stuff on this site. Hey I'm just trying to help some of you that might need it. if you don't need then great! Good luck! And about that other guy saying i'm insulting people.........they all started on me.......I was talking to stepehen when a bunch of hens started to peck at scraps on the ground. So that's what they wanted or they would of wrote something nice.

Interesting, I once had a Chocolate Short Haired Pointer named Duke. I loved that dog. Great teeth, no doggie breath and piercing blue eyes! But, I had to put him down because of his unstable Temperament. He would attack random strangers for no reason. The Vet said that the behaviour was Hereditary, Gene related  :'(

Hey Gator,

I'll get back to Ludmilla later. Just forgot cause I have been laughing at some of the posts.
Also it sounds like some of your are making generalizations about philly........i live in south jersey......Why is it ok for you to make comments that are general and I cannot. Although many of you write with a zeal........you are doing the same as I am..........can you see that? Hmmmmmmm i'm starting to have more that agree with me or at least don't attack..........and are even funny.....I like that.........      smart=boring uptight +want to prove that they are always right......even if it is about nothing.......ha ha

Yes I think Blue's Fairy has a crush on me.  Do you have pretty blue eyes too? I'm just kidding I know your married and would never get in the way......plus I dont have a shot...your too smart

Damn I can't keep up with all of this. You guys are wearing me out. I'll try later to get back to the rest.....

If I was hanging out with some of you drinking wine, in rocking chairs I'd fall asleep..........
Better yet if we all were in a strip club, I'd sit back and see how good you are with the dancers. LOL Now that would be a good time! Ha Ha And I would keep quiet!

Dang Duke-

Bevan's going to be a heartbreaker, man! He's definitely much better looking than you. Must've gotten that from his Mom (?)  ;D

I like the fact you came down eye level with him for the picture, as oppose to remaining standing up for the pose. That tells me something about you and your endearment to the child(ren). A lot of highly-educated men would not have the same passion and fervor for their own children like you do and dammit I'm good with that.

The forum crowd is a respectable crowd, man. Maybe pull back a little on the role playing...

It is so sad when people are trying to make a sofa-dog from a serious working breed, then they get surprised that dogs become crazy. They suffer when they can't use their instincts and start acting inadequately (from the point of these [sorry bad word here] owners). If you take a working dog, give him his job.

Hey GQBlues,

Very good observation! Thanks for the points. I will listen as you have impressed me. You have a good eye. Yes I am very good with kids and especially with my son. I actually spent the first year of his life doing 80% of the day to day caring. So I do miss him dearly when I don't have him! It's heartbreaking.

But anyway what's your story...............with AW.....RW and so on. Maybe you have some good tips............

You may well be right right RussianWind, but my money's on Duke. Mulatos have that classically distinct Othello / Turkish look. There must be a reason why a huge flock of RWs marry Turks, Egyptians and Indians...yes?

I don't think Utrobina meant that in the way you perceived it. But I do agree with what you said on the canine subject. I'm certain Cesar, Dog Whisperer Supreme will agree as well.

Excellent post Gator.

Now.. I think there are a class of FSU ladies that are appropriate for the socio-personality type you describe.  I do not think they will be found on the internet.  The will be found in the really rotten Stalin houses in the furthest outskirts of the big cities.. they drink hard.. yell a lot.. punch their husbands (if they have them) and may have kids from different men.. they are unlikely to speak a word of English.. miss the "security" of the USSR.. hate America for its "wealth" but given the chance would likely marry some dumbass to move here thinking it would be a big upgrade.. lots more social programs to mine for free money.. the kind of woman who will respond positively to the mentality of "slap dat beotch and let her know who da man is"

As for the more typical ladies.. they will see right through the "bravado"/ rude behavior to exactly what it is... (teenie weenie syndrome)

And yeah.. I think Blues is sweet on him too.. (ducks)

Welcome to the future.. the Ghetto Nation.  :(

Duke-

I dated a Welsh woman a long time ago whose last name is 'Bevan'. Was your ex from Wales (Just an observation for picking the name 'Bevan' - cool name and a great choice)?

As for pointers, the only thing I can advice you on will likely be 'travel' info as I'm not technically an expert of FSUWs being I only married one Russian woman  :D  To be an expert on anything, I believe it involves a great deal of time and sampling.

But having said that, I do believe women are women for the most part and what I tell most of folks is that, if you have the Slavic persuasion meet one already living in the US (for many various and beneficial reasons). Remember one thing: There's a lot to be said about marrying women from your own society/culture. I never had bad experiences with AWs as many here seem to have had. For one, I never dated fat women as I was never really into dating fat women to begin with, thus my experiences have always been good. Some are biyatches, but hey, they do have to date the men  :P

But if you insist of going to FSU, beware of scammers and agencies. Also, nationalism runs pretty high with Russia's male population. Beyond that, it is a helluva ride and experience to go through.

As for me...married almost 5 years with a wonderful gal from Siberia. Why Russia? I'm still asking myself that question.

Thanks for chilling down. These folks are really a group of helpful people. Women, especially FSUWs, command a very respectable place in the men's heart here so anyone speaking unfavorably about them is usually met with dire scrutiny...
