Rostov to Volgograd

I've been looking on the internet and can't seem to find the answer to this question.

Are there direct daily flights from Rostov to Volgograd and from Volgograd to Rostov?

Pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Not if direct flights were available.  At 550km distance, each way would be less than 1 hour.  I seem to remember direct flights were available during the summer.  Just can't seem to find out if they're available during fall and winter months as well.

Lol.. yeah, one time we spent 11 hours at the gate in Rostov.

Food is a lot better on the train too.

Even with a direct flight, considering getting to the airport can take an hour (even within Rostov at peak traffic times), an hour at least before the flight, an hour and half flying (planes take extra time to land and taxi, getting bags, a taxi to your destination etc etc.. it all adds up quick.

Relax and enjoy the scenery, or take a nice nap, or find someone to party with.
