Question
« on: December 30, 2009, 12:16:41 PM »
I was wondering if finding a young RW is hard to find in America? Just out of curiosity.
Deep down, I've been called into greatness. If not, who?

Many cities have strong Russian communities.
Also during the summer most resort towns such as Myrtle Beach, Virginia beach, Ocean City, Wisconsin Dells etc...
Have nothing but young RW. They all come here during the summer for jobs. The resort towns are loaded with them. In fact try finding an American working in these towns during the summer.

Rwoo.. where in California do you live?  There are large Russian speaking communities in San Diego, LA, SF and Sacramento.  If you are in or near SF I would be happy to take you to a few clubs where there are a lot of Russian speaking people in your age range.

I find your post to be very interesting. You gave me hope that I can find a RW to date in America and perhaps establish a relationship later on. Is there a match.com type website where I can find only RW in America?

Hello 2012,
I am currently residing the city of San Bernarghetto...I mean San Bernardino. lol I'm currently a student at CSUSB. The closest city I live is either San Diego or LA. I haven't been to San Francisco before, but if and when I get there, I will definitely let you know about hitting a few clubs where young Russian chicks go. :-)

If Mishenka happens to be reading this thread you can ask him about San Diego.  He lives there and knows his way around the Russian speaking local community.  Maybe even send him a PM and ask him for some advice/help.  At any rate.. try googling Russian Los Angeles and see what you can find.  There are certainly some places there were Russian speaking people gather and I am sure you can find an open door.

You might also try the mamba dating network.  I just did a search in the LA area and found 335 profiles of ladies between 18 and 26 who have LA listed as their location.  there are many different clone interfaces for that site.. I have used www.flirt.com.ua but all of them have the same search results.  There is an English interface and the site is free.  It is not difficult to make a casual date with ladies from that site.  Best of luck and LMK when you might be in the Bay Area.

2012,

Thanks dude for your help. I don't know where I would find a RW if it wasn't for you and this website. Thank God for the internet. :-) I should encourage my friends to do the same. Besides, once they go Russian, they never go back.

Try    www.holostyak.com
Choose U.S. and there are hundreds, mostly Russian. I assume that when their profiles are in Russian that they are looking for Russian men who already live here.

One think to think about is their motives and current situation.  My wife and I met three girls this Summer who told us they are not going back when their visa's expire. I have never explored what can of worms this opens but I have known two women who did this and found husbands and are here permanently now.

I had a lot of nigerian scammer attempts via holostyak and low response rate frm real ladies.. YMMV

Work travel visa girls who overstay their visas are common.  Marriage to one might be risky though because there would always be doubts about intent.  Better to find someone who's Mother married an American or who immigrated legitimately.

Submitting the paperwork to change from out-of-status tourist or student visa to in-status K-3 wife is legally possible, but no way to curry favor with the powers that be at BCIS.  Such a practice is viewed by BCIS interviewers at best as an abuse of the system and at worst as an outright fraudulent marriage to circumvent the legitimate visa process.  If one is thinking about trying such a course of action, I'd recommend they better be sure all your paperwork is 100% correct and all their ducks are standing in a row at perfect attention.

Hi Chicagoguy,

I'll give it a try. I have plenty of time researching websites, dating people, and most of all, have fun. Later down the road, I will seek marriage and go from there.

And people wonder why it's so difficult to get a legitimate tourist visa approved for young women from FSU countries.   >:(  Had it been me, I would have probably notified the government of their intentions.  Probably wouldn't have done any good but it sure would have made me feel better.   ;D

Actually, I see Shake's point, although I see it more as an investment in legitimate visa applications.

Once you've had a sister's visa denied (as we did), you begin to understand the flip side.

If you have money and proof of employment and some stamps in your passport it isnt that hard to get a tourist visa.  Sheesh.. dont overplay it.

Do you think the reason why marriages might be risky because they might be a chance some RW use marriages as a convenient way to obtain a citizenship and perhaps gain some assets or money?

There's nothing to overplay. A denial is a denial. She had all the documentation, stamps in the passport,
job (business owner), hubbie, daughter in college, you-name-it. Proving her intent to return was genuine,
however, was difficult due to abuse of the system as you are excusing here.

Very astute observation, Robert. Exercise patience in all things, particularly when committing for a lifetime.

Exactly Vaughn.  I've had several attempts denied as well.  A legitimate requester can do everything by the book and STILL be denied because of the high rate of failure to comply with the terms of the visa, primarily by people under age 35 that are actually fortunate enough to get a US visa and knowingly NEVER intended to return home.

There's hope for us yet, Shake. This all happened going on 3 years ago. The trend indicates a
better rate of approval these days - I never have understood how USCIS could not hold your
or my wife's immigration status hostage - to practically guarantee a sibling's timely return home.

Robert, if you intend to date FSU ladies locally, 2012 serves up wise advice here.

I have to wonder if the fact that you are married influenced the decision to deny a relatives visa?  I have seen way too many pics of young women in Vegas or LA or New York that didnt have family connections here to think they are being so strict all the time.

Six or seven years ago, the idea of a younger RW getting a tourist visa was wishful thinking. The
tide is turning, yet still no visa is guaranteed.

I have to wonder if the fact that you are married influenced the decision to deny a relatives visa?

We spent many a day wondering about that ourselves. It also could have been the fact that the
interviewer herself was Russian, not American - and just wanted to rain on someone's parade.
No eye contact made, flat refusal. Visited a State Rep's office to engineer a change of heart,
but the writing on the wall was most clear : this decision may not be reversed by appeal. Please
apply again when your situation has changed.

Huh?

Robert, make the effort to immerse yourself in the local Russian culture by visiting
stores that cater to your FSU neighbors. Check out the bulletin board there...

There are language groups nationally called Russian Meetup. One is in Irvine, and here's
another in San Diego ~
