RW Boards

My wife was furious last night when I was reading RWG and she does not care for RWD either. When I am looking at these forums and she catches me, she is telling me to delete them immediately. I am not going to ever post any personal information on the board, to protect her privacy. But is generic stuff so bad? She does not like me to even read these boards. She thinks I am here to meet Russian women. How do I pursuade her that these are support groups of guys who are all married, engaged or dating Russian women? Did any of you have a similar problem when you visited this site and others?

Yes, reading these types of discussion boards is not too popular at my house either.  So I just read them at work .

It seems this is one of those times when you find the correct words that will apply to however you handle your wife, and tell her to mind her own business. I didn't know how else to say that without it sounding like I was being a smart azz. Only you will know what words to use. My wife is ok with this forum. She has had questions answered here and she knows it's a great benefit. She wouldn't think of pulling a censorship job on me. Good luck!!

Tell your wife that without boards such as the RWD, she would not have gotten her visa as quickly as she did.  Emphasize that as long as she is dealing with the BCINS information you glean from boards like this on immigration alone is worth your time.  Also explain to her that you are not posting personal information about her and discuss generalities and tendencies of UW / RW in general to help guys in the same boat you were, are and will be.  I think she will understand.

I show Elena different posts on this board and on a couple of the other lists I am on. She is interested but only in a clinical way and has not shown any interest in participating here.

It has just recently created a new friendship between Elena and another wonderful lady who's husband is a member here and who we had the distinct pleasure of having dinner with last week.

Don't know what to tell you SoC except that it sounds like she's pushing just for the sake of pushing.

I have been discussing abotu RWG and RWD and even Antidate a long time, and my girl does not mind. She has her own forums to attend (not about MOB) and lets me watch mine.

And at times we can have a lot of fun discussing some topics

Yes, reading these types of discussion boards is not too popular at my house either. 

Same here  But I should warn you..There were a number of cases on Russian boards, when some females (out of jealousy or some other unknown reason) sent husbands some info on their wives. Let me tell ya, it was ugly. No matter whether the info was true or not, but it definitely made their lives more difficult. So be careful and do not give out ANY personal info on line..

About 2 years ago my ex-girlfriend heard through the grapevine that I  was writing to/ planning a trip to Russia. She did her internet stalker  thing and joined a group I was part of as a man and started posting  stuff about how great AW were. She send me this looooong letter  pretending to be this man about how I was unfair in my relationship to  this girl (her) and how I should get some help with my issues. The big  "DUH" was she sent it from her personal e-mail account.

Okay now, how many of you out there are ex-girlfriends posting as men? ;)

Perhaps you can explain to her that you are doing your best to understand her culture and heritage, and while you appreciate what you are learning from her, you owe it to her and to your marriage to learn from as many varied sources as possible.  Explain to her that you want more than anything else to be fair to her, and connecting with other similarly situated guys helps you do that.
