My wife has a friend named Iryna who will be in the DC area for two more weeks. When she returns to Simferopol, in Crimea, she would like to correspond with a nice American guy if she does not have enough time to meet him while she is here.

Iryna has reddish blond hair, weighs about 125, is 51 years old and her height is around 5' 5". She loves to dance and she is a very warm and friendly person. Her English is pretty good so there should not be a communication problem.

Good luck with this. Hopefully some guy will take advantage of her already having a visa to visit here. We thought about trying to hook up my sister-in-law after we were married but luckily we didnt get that far and she married a really nice Ukrainian boy. Be careful with any and all potential future dates. Washington DC will be a great place for the first few dates. I wouldn't have known what to say to the buildings if she wasn't there to tell me, and get me acclimated. 

If you like, I could ask her to say it in her own words.  But I doubt she would.  As to the picture thing, she was far more beautiful than her photos.  And I am not being cheesy... she really was.

I believe she should be perfect at her present age. At 51, she's still relatively very young for a huge number of our active membership who are in their 50s - 60s. She's thin, pretty, appears family-oriented and slightly traditional, and more importantly, she's likely very cultured unlike a comparable 51 year old AW....RWD men should be breaking your PM bin seams by now. Heck, she probably even owns her own home and computer...and car!

Additionally, if we utilize the age gap life stages apps, she can add another band of men pushing 70s but look like 50ish types...

This thread says to me that the guys are going after the hot young women.

There are enough single guys here in her age range, but apparently they are looking elsewhere  or holding out for a 25 year old lady.

Too late now, our friend will be on her way to Canada in a few days and home to Ukraine in two weeks. Maybe she will pursue this with an agency when she gets home, but this was sort of an experiment for her.

Very few men who marry 50 year old RW on this board.  Very few foreign men marry Ukraine women greater than 50 years old. 

If any men in his 50's marry's a RW in her 50's that is impressive (rare indeed).  60 year old men marrying 50 year old woman does not count.

Don't take the lack of response to heart SOC. High percentage of men in this pursuit are looking for younger women. IMO, thats what attracts them to it in the first place. Now you know why some are not as active with their help, as well as why the matchmaking industry itself is full of sleaze. There's not much room for honesty or integrity in this endeavor and the men you encounter are every bit as questionable as the women. I was apalled when I realized how shallow the majority of guys really were in this effort, gentlemen are rare.

Keep smiling and look closer to home rather than at a random forum group if you truly want to help and don't dream of doing it as anything more than a favor for someone who is important to you and yours. Keep it all personal, face-to-face contacts (not virtual) and be certain you know the caliber of the individuals you are dealing with rather than the way you hope they are from the lip service they post.

Don't feel bad, SOC. I posted at least twice regarding single RW my wife and I met in the US and never got a nibble. One was 34 and here temporarily on a Fulbright scholarship, the other is a Moscow TV journalist studying at the Brooklyn Film Academy. Both are gorgeous.

I suspect the issue isn't age - rather, strip away the sacred blue passport factor and the fantasy element of romancing a woman from far, far away, and maybe the appeal just isn't there
