Got Green Card :)

Just thought I would let everyone know. We had my wife's Green card interview on July 23rd. Everything went perfect. They asked us nothing really at all. We were in and out in 10 minutes. She was approved and we got the card in the mail this week. I want to thank everyone for the advice and help they have provided since I started this endeavor.
Also, I am finishing law school soon and as the last part of my studies am doing an externship in LA. So if anyone here can give me advice on where are safe relatively inexpensive places to live in LA that would be cool.

I lived for several years in various parts of the San Fernando Valley which is the northern suburbs of LA.  Mostly all good areas there except to the east which is Pacoima.  South, West and  North parts of SF Valley are OK.

You probably know that East LA and South LA are not good areas to live in.

Inexpensive . . . well that will be hard to come by.  The farther you get from the center of LA, prices generally tend to go down (with some exceptions); however, there is just a trade off as you will have to spend more gas money.

Now if you could get a law job out in the suburbs; that would be ideal.

I'm glad to hear USCIS seems to have figured out how to get the cards out. People are always amazed to hear that my wife Natasha never got a green card. Meaning the actual card, she did have the status. But truth, she made it all the way through 3 1/2 years of PR status, removal of conditions, and the naturalization process and never did receive a physical I-551 green card. Luckily you can get by without it, but it was inconvenient on a few occasions.

Yeah the card is the fanciest ID card I have ever seen, almost science fiction like. As for work, right now my externship will be in chatsworth, the courthouse is in San fernando.
