I disagree, it's a myth, Ukrainian scam MOB agency hype! there is equal amount of beautiful women in both Russia and Ukraine on average. I don't even understand how you can make such statement since as far as I remember there are more Ukrainians who live in Russia than in Ukraine! But in any case, I spend plenty of time in both countries to say that this statement is completely untrue.

3. In the FSU, they're not as enthnically diverse as we are on the USA. Throw in fat Mexican and African American women in the streets of FSU in equal ratio, the sights will dramatically change.

IMHO, if those same fat African American and Mexican women here in the GoodOl'USA were born and raised in the FSU, they would not be fat!

I submit that they would be slim and trim like most FSUW are.

I also submit that we (American society) promote obesity in AW by having such things in place as: anti-discriminatory laws against fat women (i.e. workplace, etc.), "sensitivity training" that starts in our elementary schools not to "tease" fat girls, submission training of the American male by society to accept fat women as an "acceptable" mate, etc. etc. etc.

Hell obesity is now considered a disability in the GoodOl'USA.....if you can believe that one?

It was a joke just like the majority of this thread of course no difference than RW and UW.  There are great RW, great UW, and great AW.  The main reason foreign men go to Ukraine or Russia for marriage is for the age gap.  RW and UW tend to tolerate a larger age gap than AW.  That is #1 reason men go there.  #2 is so far down the list it is not even worth talking about.

I've never seen more dull and grumpy faces than in Russia. Their best intentions get buried. Hence, some men develop a mentality of hopelessness, which does not add any attractiveness to a person. In other words, Russia beats life out of their men. Women seem to be less subject to this, because, first, they tend not to be as ambitious, generally, and second, females seem to have more naturally surviving resources, as they are supposed to give another life. But nature apparently created men as sort of 'biologically consumables', bearing in mind that men can successfully participate in reproduction during their short but intensive life. During all social cataclysms, who dies first, on the wars or somewhere else? Men. Who are most eager challengers? Men. Now see why Russia is not a good place especially for the men to live?  

Thanks Lily for interesting speculation or hypothesis.  Is this some original thought, or is it a common idea among certain circles of friends or intellectuals?

Are you sure  you  don't have a lot of training in sociology and psychology; rather than law?  :-))

But I certainly agree with one part; that is that the women in FSU seemed to have survived the various 'crises' over the past 20 years better than the men.  They actually seem a little more driven and entrepreneurial than the men.  I assumed this was the 'mother instinct' kicking in to protect the children.

And also Lily, have your perceptions and thought process been changing?
At one time, you seemed to lean toward the idea that some women of your age couldn't find man because the men had too much to select from.  You even said it was hard to find a 'no strings attached relationship.'

Now, you seem to be indicating something different.  It is you, rather than the men, who is 'selecting out' most of them.  You don't want the men because of the "mentality of hopelessness, which does not add any attractiveness to a person."

I don't go for the age gap, and I haven't been involved with a huge age gap as have others; not that I am criticizing those who are involved with such.

But some age gap comes along with other things you are looking for.

For instance:  You don't want a fat or even chunky woman . . . then you got to move down the age scale.

You want a woman who can communicate in English . . . then you got to move down the age scale.

You want a woman who has a lot of years left where she will have interest in sex . . . then you got to move down the age scale.  (Note:  There has been some discussion in other threads that women don't necessarily lose sex drive with age; but my experience and discussions with older women rejects that thesis . . . oh sure there are always exceptions and the 1 in a 100 or so.)

This is actually the second time I've seen travellers' polled opinion blog of which city (locale) have the most beautiful women that they've travelled to. Yes, it includes Russia. Accordingly, 2, maybe 3, countries that are, or may be considered as economically-challenged, are nation sources of MOBs...

   From my experience in the FSU I have noticed the average in shape 45 year old American male will usually look 5 years or more younger than their Russian counterpart. I have also said before that I dont believe FSU women are any more beautiful than American women as far as facial features go. But when your 50 pounds overweight your face becomes fatter and not so attractive. Throw in an economic advantage, total it all up and you get men from here that can get alot younger women in the FSU.
   I am 50. I look for women 35 and up in the FSU and I can and do date the same here but to find one in that age braket that isnt into 20 something guys, in shape, married or already in a relationship is not easy. To me its a numbers game and the number of women 35 and older that are still attractive and in shape in the FSU far exceeds the available women here. There are some fat women in Russia but nothing like here.
   I wonder how many men here would look overseas if the American women were in the same shape as FSU women?

  It stands to reason. If your going overseas to look for a wife you might as well go to one where the woman is actually willing to move. But I do agree the poverty does play a role.
