I think Ed offers 2 distinct but very different services. I can see a lot of merit in him scouring local FSU sites and using his expert knowledge to find potential ladies for a WM to pursue. However, as he knows, I’m not convinced about his ‘wingman service’ (for me anyway).

Either way, I think guys like him and Jack should be given more slack on these sites. The most important thing is that they are honest guys, on our side, trying to help us achieve our goals. There are more than enough ‘service providers’ out there that don’t have our best interests at heart … we should save our energy and venom for those.

What site would you reccomend now?

I would start here ......

http://www.spellcheck.co.uk/

I am sure there are a lot of people who don't like Jack, or don't like Eduard or at least the concept of what they do but having spent a lot of time with Jack and having been around Eduard enough that I fell like I know him, I do think both try really hard to help people and to provide a good service.  There are some people who are very right for either of their services and probably some who know enough and know enough about what they want to do and how they want to do it that it possibly might not help them.

I do think both would be a good choice for someone who is a newbie or has not traveled a lot but Eduards services also benefit someone more exprienced in letting them have access to women they might not otherwise and with Jack, I had made 20 trips or so before I did his tour and I learned a lot from it and it changed my ideas a lot.

Faux Pas, I think you should at least resign as a moderator after making attacks and accusations just within this thread.  Does anyone else agree?

I don't agree.  FP is one of those who speaks what he thinks, always had. No matter if you agree with him or disagree with him, you know where he is coming from, unlike some new recent posters who just like to post BS.

I thought this was a friendly site with helpful people, I probably won't return.

Surely our loss.   :'(

I did the same for the airport ride for 120 Hrivna ($15 US) each way.

Ed, are you saying that upon arrival at Borispol you called a local taxi to come and get you, the taxi did and then took you to the center of Kiev for $15, or about 110 grivnas?   ???

Enot, will you make up a few more identities to support your claims?

Is Vegas Enot?   I am curious as to why the change of name?

Far be it for me to lecture about political correctness (PC) on RWD, :rolleyes2: BUT....One of the most insulting things you can do in life to a former or retired U.S. Marine, is to refer to him/her as an "ex" marine.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Their are no ex Marines, even in passing.

I was actually curious about the cost of the tour package not including flights or hotels.

How about $1385 for two weeks, $1855 for three weeks and $2270 for four weeks.

If I have to recommend anything, the first one I'll do is tell you to stay at home and date. If you like Slavic women, then there's more than a few in a neighborhood around you.

I don't know about this GQ.  The number of available ladies would not be as great as you would get by traveling to the FSU.  So, like the men who travel to see one woman, or two, one could be greatly eliminating the number of potential ladies he could meet. I still say for the most part it is a numbers game. The more qualified ladies you can meet in a certain time frame the greater your chances of finding a truly compatible wife.

You would not be able to learn nearly as much about her culture, her up bringing, you would probably not be able to meet her parents, although it would be possible if they also lived in the states. I usually agree with most of what you say and write but not in this particular case.

Lastly, I will bet a dollar the OP had already been inundated with PMs offering their services. I bet these guys are tripping over each other on who gets to get the OP's money first...LOL.

haaa, I bet you are correct.  Would be interesting hearing from chade if this has happened.

Times are tough these days, man. Even the MOB peddlers are feeling the pinch  :P

Things are tougher. I am seeing less men today compared to only two years ago.  I am seeing 25% less white collar guys, two thirds less blue collar guys.  All since the time of our friend Obama.

I would still recommend a free Russian dating site, the mamba network. It is even easier now as http://singles.ru has an English-language interface

And I also agree with this site,....

There are 2 free websites that are very good (www.freepersonals.ru and www.fdating.com).

,......and these sites, although freepersonals has become mostly a great waste of time

EM remains my recommendation if you're only going to pick one site to work from to prepare for your visit.

.....and this site. But I would always question as to why any guy would only use one site.

Thanks for the straightforward answer.  ;)

Just curious, do you find that the majority of guys on your tour have gone the "agency' route before, or are most of them total newbies?

Voyager, only about 22% are total newby's. Most guy's have from a little to a lot of prior experience. On this recent trip three guys had been previously married to Urk/Rus ladies. The common denominator with all three men were they all moved very quickly with the first, or one of the first women they met. Two guys were previously married to Moscow ladies, one from the late 90's era, the other in 2000. One guy, very nice fella, was previously married to a woman from Kiev. After hearing his story I think with a little help his marriage could have worked as both cared for each other. As he explained much of the fault was his own for not knowing enough about Ukr/Rus culture. He told me he learned a lot from this trip and he has met three ladies he has interest in.  At the young age of 43 I told him the biggest mistake he could make was rushing into any relationship.

In replying to the question of the OP, this is what I would recommend:

1. Try singles.ru (pay for the VIP option to get the advanced search) as you will have a low response rate, but still have a chance to find some nice FSUW (it's the site I found the lady I'm with).

2. Most of the ladies I met in the past I met on EM (all real and very interesting, but were just not a good match for me), so I would recommend that site but it's been a long time since I have used it so things might have changed.

3. If you are using a service, based on what I have read I think Ed's service is the one I would spend my money on if I was going that route.

4. This one is a little different from what others have mentioned, but I would get on eHarmony and open up my search radius to the entire world as you will get matched with a few Russians, but you just might find that special person in places like Australia, Brazil, or even your own country who are as interesting as many of the ladies from the FSU (after all, it's not the location but the person that matters).

Vinny,

You make an EXCELLENT point!

Some of the readers will notice that I have made some edits to this topic to move Off-Topic and contentious posts to another topic.

Those contentious topics were between Commercial members Jack and Eduard.

I want everyone to notice something. Both Ed and Jack use their REAL NAMES. They post their own photos. They provide REAL contact information where anyone can reach them.

This is in stark contrast to the REAL scumbags in this 'industry' who veil themselves behind various pseudonyms.

The fact of the matter is that Jack and Eduard both seem to have satisfied customers - and both offer a service that is designed to help men with this endeavor. Both are passionate about their approach - and their approaches are different. Over the years it has been apparent that there is NOT a 'one-size fits all' to this approach. Personalities and tactics that are very comfortable for one person will NOT be comfortable for another. The same is true with both Eduard and Jack - their individual 'styles' will work for some and not for others.

BOTH deserve credit for being 'out there' and not shrinking from the limelight. They are both proud of what they offer and willing to state so publicly. Not so for many MANY others who slink around in the shadows and refuse to be seen in the light of day.

Who would YOU rather do business with?

Offered FWIW

- Dan
