Don't worry.  Your attitude is natural and healthy.

Just make sure the RW you meet understand such.  Some RW (years ago when life was desperate) were thinking marriage in the first hour.

I don't think this is in the proper section dgc.

But to answer your question, it depends on the person's mindset. Some people are content embarking on the journey in of itself while others define their experience with an end result.

Of course, for those like myself, I don't find any part of the experience 'fun' to be armed with a high-powered weapon to 'hunt' unsuspecting, defenseless, non-participant animals at all. But to each his own.

Absolutely!   The experience, the education, difference in cultures, yes, it's a great adventure and one that has changed the lives of many, I would venture to say most, who have taken a trip to the FSU.

Personally, if I want to see new places and to go somewhere just for the adventure of it, I could think of a few places much more interesting and attractive to me than Ukraine. If I have to go to the FSU for the adventure of it I'd wanna be darn sure that I get my "animal" along with the adventure :)))

Most animals you hunt will not stay with you for the rest of your life... so be careful in your aim.  Use the hunters rule that you should not shoot until you have fully identified your prey.

Otherwise, yes its a good idea to just treat it as adventure and take it how it comes. Any kind of pressure to succeed usually end up being a disadvantage.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

I agree that pressure to succeed is bad. But it seems to me that this attitude is just a way to make yourself feel better if you do not succeed in accomplishing your real goal of going to the FSU. Let's be honest here, most single WM on this board go to the FSU to meet women.

Most guys go to FSU because they have already made a number of vacation trips to Hawaii, Florida, California, and spent the week on the beach holding an empty stringer and staring at other guys catches.  They go looking for a better fishing spot.  Nothing wrong with looking at it as just another vacation spot, though.

I don't think that it is the pressure to meet women, you can do that anywhere. The pressure is to meet 'the woman' and feel as though if you don't meet her, then think that you've failed.

I'm not a hunter and would soon be found wanting if we were discussing hunting in depth. But, if your next prey is a Grizzly Bear then I wouldn't recommend asking it to hand over a copy of it's ID before deciding what action to take next.

I hope this may help someone in the future. Thank you.

I have been to the FSU 11 times now and enjoyed each trip as I have seen and experienced something new.  Was the experienced enhanced by the fact I usually had an interesting lady showing me around, absolutely.  Would I still be going back after all these trips (will be returning next week again) if not to the fact that I was caught, bagged, and tagged (yes, the FSUW are hunters as well), I answer a definite "no".

So be careful what you look for as you just might find it and then it'll soon seem like Groundhog day!

Well for me meeting women anywhere has allways been easy im a average looking man but lots of confidence and have no problem saying hello to any lady. but even one I meet down the street from my home I will not know if she is the( one) untill we spend a lot of time together so why would I think different about someone I meet in another country. If things click you go back or have her come here if not you keep looking

If it were up to me, people would be allowed to hunt only sharks and crocodiles. For hunting anything else - off with the balls! Evil bastards

You got something against Australian wildlife???   :o

To answer the OP's question... yes, you can have a wonderful experiece in many FSU cities.

Kiev, Moscow and St Petersburg are all fabulous cities in their own right. My wife is from Dnepropetrovsk and I love returning there for many reasons.  If you're a little adventurous you may find what you are looking for, AND a lovely lady too...

...but even one I meet down the street from my home I will not know if she is the( one) untill we spend a lot of time together....

And this is the conundrum that most AM face when dating in the FSU.

If it is your "habit" to spend a lot of time with someone before marriage, be prepared to spend a lot of time in the FSU with your "one", before marriage.

I was fortunate enough to do this with my beautiful wife. I was in Siberia for 3 straight months during the coldest time imaginable for a Floridian :o and we both learned the good, the bad and the ugly about each other.

BTW.....I wouldn't trade my times in Omsk for anything. :D

......so why would I think different about someone I meet in another country.

Don't!
Don't change a thing about your "thinking" or "dating" habits (be yourself)!
Just think of this as a change in location, that's all.
Be careful and be smart!
