It took a few trips to the passport authorities in RU and a small special 'fee' to fix things up for us.

Why on earth would USCIS not take the name as spelled on the Ukraine passport?

A person would have to be completely retarded to spell it with as many vowels as you show above.

You obviously have not dealt with USCIS much. If there is any way possible to screw something up they will find that way!
