Free Web Sites to meet people from FSU

Dear All

I am new to the board but enjoyed reading most of the trip reports. I am planning to travel to Moscow, St Pberg and Ukraine and Kazakhstan for the next six month from March.

Can you folks suggest few good free or paid sites to register and initiate a dialogue with ladies before I travel. I am not into agencies so no need to recommend them to me. I am not trying to date lots of women but a few to select from and narow down to one.

I am registered on Singles.Ru and find the site with lot of good people. I am struggling with REAL feature on it and despite sending several times my cell number I am not still not approved after 2 days.

I think it will be nice to have a list of free sites on the site, so new people on the board can read the reviews and decide where to direct energies.

I appreciate your support and will be happy to post reviews of all sites, if you suggest which ones I should register and what I should watchout for. Will be happy to post my trip reports as I start traveling.

Why limit yourself to free sites?   Complement your search with a site where you have to pay to join (but not by the letter), about $100 for 6 months.  If $100 seems expensive , stick with local women.

Becoming REAL can be a real bi-tch from the states. From the FSU it's not so hard. And  many of the ladies your running across on this particular site as you know are only accepting inquires from members with REAL status.  This particular agency also has it's clients to look at and consider using this same site for meeting a lot of fine women, along with other resources as well.

So if your up to changing your way's towards seeking help from one of those God forbidden agencies PM me, need to exchange some info, I'll use one of the several cell phones we have here and try to get you REAL status.

Here are some of the sites that I am finding out of use.

Singles.ru

The site is the largest when you are looking to meet a person in the former Soviet Union and Central Asia.

The breadth of the selection and the number of people on the site is large and varied. On any give time there are between 30,000 and 50,000 people on the site which claims to have 12 million registered members.

There are people from the ages of 20 to 65 and from all regions of the world. Most profiles are in Russia but there is a sizable proportion of people who do understand English and speak English.

Travel section is a good place to meet people who likes to travel and are seeking companions.

If you register on the site, please make sure that you are in the country where you are because the site will send you a registration confirmation to confirm your status REAL to your cell phone. The REAL status will give you a wider access to the site.

The site selectin is not as wide as on the singles.ru. The site has a more selectino of people who speak English and are looking for  a person in the US and Western Europe.

Easy registration and easy navigation though the navigation is rather old and clunky.

The site is one of the oldest sites but also also has one one of the worst navigation and difficult navigation. The site has a very small list of members but people do respond to messages and appear to be genuine.
