I just checked on the USCIS. gov website. I130's for Wife and Daughter are approved on 1 Feb 2011!  The NOA-1 was dated 12 Oct 2010, so it took about 3-1/2 months.

I guess it is time again for your "treatment" (mule) Wayne.
Some people never learn. :rolleyes2: :rolleyes2:

GOB

Hello everyone,
I just received this short message:
"My Love, at all of us it has turned out!  We have received the visa!  I am very happy!
I love you!

Your Oksana"

She came on a K-1 in March 2008.  Married in late April.  Sent in green card application soon after.  Went to USCIS for interview......No sex since the wedding night.  Wife? moved into seperate bedroom.......  Believe this was planned all along.......  Help!

GOB.

Taking potshots at any mans current wife seems lame.

if you are going to post old stuff,  how about the courtesy of some reasons
that make  you think he did not learn form his past experiences ??
or that his current wife is not an entirely different person than his ex-wife.

you obviously feel he is being used.
why?

It takes a particular type of person to use someone in this way.. while horror stories exists ,
the majority of RW immigrating here through marriage certainly seem to begin the venture in good faith.

Obviously you do not know me sir.
I am not attacking the mule Wayne's wife or stepdaughter.
No, No, No, I am reminding the OP (and any Newbies or Lurkers) of his past indiscretions.
Maybe it is possible that anyone with an ounce of intelligence can go back and reread his posts and come away with something?

PS..I know Dan.....the PM/Warning is coming.

GOB,

I know you like to shoot straight , I typically admire that.

There are bounds of decency though, and in my opinion you crossed them.
We each have our opinions on those though.

While you are  aiming the comments  at wayne,
your comments are still a direct insult to the man's wife.
regardless intent .
Most intelligent people could see that ,and that your comments would be taken that way by any husband, and by many people in general.

Now,while I may lack that *ounce of intelligence*, I have read the OP's  past history.
It wasn't pretty.

I have no idea whether he learned some things from his past experience or not.
or whether he found something special with his new wife or not.

I'd simply wish him ,and the new wife and daughter well.

Maybe you are privy to  a bit more info..
or have seen him post some indicators that set this *mule suit taylored for him* by his current wife,
 in your mindset

Now again , i might ask you to clarify why you feel his current situation might be the same , or different?
someone with an ounce of common courtesy would.

Or do you contend that all men ,and women, are doomed to always make  the same mistakes,
and  have the same motivations?

BTW AJ, I strongly disagree with your statement above.

I hardly call 2 years ago "old stuff".
Since the last soiree that the OP managed to get himself involved in (and out of), he has mysteriously found new love again :rolleyes2: in the FSU and married her over there (another smoothe move).
Now the muling will begin.
You know AJ, I really don't know what will be more entertaining this year.

This is totally confusing.

Aug 2005 ...one 'Oksana and nameless daughter goes for visas interview'. [very first post]
Feb 2011... a nameless 'wife and daughter receives visa' in a blitz 3 &  1/2 months. [last post to date]

Go figure.

I would try that GOB but your leg is too far away.

Wayne, Congratulations.  That was really fast and it is great that you are almost there.  I just remember bits and pieces of your past story but enough to know you had some tough times.   I had a lot of bumps and mistakes in my search as well and I do think it helps us really appreciate it when we find a wonderful woman and the happiness we seek.  I made some mistakes along the way myself but I do think I rarely made the same mistake twice.   Best of wishes for a long and happy marriage.

I just went back and scanned through a lot of Wayne's story GOB.  I had remembered that Wayne was doing his first K-1 about the time I was doing my first K-1 with my first fiancee and that he had problems and that she pulled some stuff on Wayne but it was interesting to refresh my memory.

Basically what I see reading back on his posts is a very nice guy who tried to do everything he could to be with the woman he loved.  His mistake was falling in love with the wrong woman.  Lots of men pick the wrong woman.  It never turns out well no matter how hard we try.

As far as his marrying there after 2 K-1's with his first wife it was most likely the best way to go.  Personally I don't see any reason for the feelings you have.  To me he showed a lot of really admirable qualities and has earned my respect.

I would imagine marrying RW wife number two while RW ex-wife number one is having you processed served with a restraining order (mid-September '10) sets some new kind of record around here for moving on. Most guys are traumatized for awhile. Sometimes it takes a RW to get over a RW. I agree with Turboguy, Wayne seems like a nice man. I wish him luck.

?? 2 K-1s, divorce, restraining order, now a K-3. And all are with women with adolescent daughters? These are all in less than 3 years? Wayne's responsible for a huge chunk of K-visas processed in the same period, eh?

This is more interesting than BillyB's thread.

Well, congratulations Wayne! It's still fairly recent so congrats on the last two, too!

I've heard that a K-3 (married over there) is necessary if an abuse charge has been placed on your record by a previous foreign spouse. Something about the USCIS avoiding a legal challenge from a USC regarding the denying of the entry of his wife/husband. It would be interesting to know why Wayne decided to go the K3 route. Was it this factor that made him decide to marry over there?

Which is what I have heard/read somewhere also Maxx2.

So our wonder boy (with his previous abuse track record) will get thrown into jail immediately when the new Mrs. arrives and calls the police with her and her daughters new abuse accusations.

It usually doesn't pay to try and "sneak" around the system, but some mules never learn.

I have been on this forum for many years, so there is a lot of history and I could write a book about it.

I probably hold the record for the longest single thread. Perhaps Dan could check?

I did not do the K-3 at all, just the immigirant visa, so I was surprised that it was approved so quickly.

Do you realize that with an immigrant visa they will have green cards right away without any adjustment of status?

Turbo, I remember your posts and yes our circumstances are similiar. Thanks for your support. I am glad that things have worked out for you and your wife.

K3 is an immigrant visa.  If not K3, what type did you do? DCF?

First, to respond to BF's query--the K3 is *not* the immigrant visa; it is a visa designed to cover the time before the actual immigrant visa is processed. Originally it was intended to speed up the process somewhat--but so far I cannot find that it has done so in reality. The actual immigrant visa application based upon family relationship is the I130.

Once the I130 is approved (which is the "green card"), it is effective upon actual entry into the U.S. using it.

Furthermore, for those who marry abroad more than two years prior to entry, there is no conditional period--the green card is for a full ten years. If married less than two years prior to entry, it is a two-year conditional green card just as it would be after an AOS following entry on a K1 and subsequent marriage.

The former situation usually affects American citizens who have resided and married abroad and who now are moving back to the U.S.

Today, the DCF (direct consular filing) is reserved to those who are residents of the appropriate consular district for more than six months. This was long the rule in Russia, but it is now also the case for Ukraine, Poland, and others that accept DCF filings.

David

Yes David, your explainition is correct. Also, with a K-3 you have the extra charges for adjustment of status, additinal medical exams, fingerprinting, ect. The extra costs could be a few thousand dollars for two people.
