We have known each other how long?  7 years or so and thousands of posts.  We have met and shared pivo.  My perception that you have changed comes from experience.   If it is me who has changed, please don't hold back.

a) I don't believe it's fitting for men to send women they have not met flowers to gain their favors?

Amid your criticism of flower givers I recall some aggressive sexual bravado that I had not seen before from you, at least not so blatant.

Did other posters use terms such as high maintenance and blood sucker?  Did they suggest a mental disorder?  Even if you thought they did, why pile on.   BTW, if you now feel qualified to comment on various mental disorders, please recognize that the term manic depression has been replaced by bipolar disorder.

I was married to a depressed spouse for 25 years.  I know the symptoms. Depression is not something you can become enamored with. 

Based on the little I have seen, Sia does not have this condition.  Even if she did, it is manageable with medication and lifestyle.  I agree that not every man can deal with a woman who has a mental condition.  A self-absorbed man would have a lot of problems with such women (and children, male friends, male partners, etc

Having 'changed' is a far cry from asserting I am sporting a sour attitude of late based on my post/s. Little of the topics exchanged recently should not have been enough for you to assert somehow I'm *ailing* from whatever you felt I may be. The irony is, you're doing to me what YOU perceive I'm doing to Sia, of which you feel is wrong. Funny that.

LOL. Were the *blatant aggressive sexual bravado* you're pointing out happen to be the section where I cited past experiences to support my assertion why it's wrong when people, whether females or males, *use* flowers for favors or get a reaction?

AJ asked if anyone ever received flowers to understand to what extent they are to be viewed from both sides of the exercise. I said I have and continued to support my stand. Matter of fact, YOU even thought it was more of a *gayish* moment for men to 'receive' flowers. LOL, OK. You would never know because you never had the experience nor the understanding why women do it these days. So, YOU 'expressed your beliefs' about it, cool. I expressed mine about *the subject post*, so where's the problem?

Energy vampires are casually used, FSU or elsewhere, when describing overly-dramatic, emotionally-draining folks. Based solely on the post I quoted, yes, I do believe a person prone to these mood changes are high maintenance, energy vampires.

Above and foremost, to me, this thread is aptly named...so I'm certain we are hardly out of topic here...I can only add, differences doesn't cut between genders only.

I believe, having had the chance to discuss this on that other thread, we largely agree more on this matter than otherwise. So maybe further elaboration of points in this matter is moot.

Agreed on the first, and actually the second as well... I guess my feint to the left for a focus shift didn't work so well. 

I'm not sure why emotions evoke so easily in this venue (MOB). Like differences in opinions are often times construed as an attack in their wisdom, or worst, manhood. dunno. It's been said fight/flight syndrome is the first sign of old age. Considering the average age involved in this saga, that's likely true.

Yeah, this is a recurring scenario.  I doubt though that this phenomenon is limited to the MOB venue, but pervasive through most fora.  Perhaps there could be a higher charge of emotions in this type of forum simply due to the competing nature of men and the quest for admiration/status/whatever in "knowledge of the opposite sex" and "manlimanness".  I have no real idea.. but this has certainly been going on for as long as I have been here. We've all probably been party to the effect to varying degrees at one time or another. 

In the specific post I quoted, reading it for the way it was posted, I stand behind my original comment. Despite knowing that ducks that fly out of line are often times the ones that get shot, so quack...At least I'll get bucked with nary a brown stain upon my nose.

On this one, you could be absolutely correct, or Misha could be correct.  I have trouble following the thrust of some of her posts and don't have the time to sit and dissect them. Yes, her friend did jump her for her attitude.. Your original post about it just seemed to come across as an attack that appeared suddenly out of left field in the flow of the thread.

Some men are naturals at this and make very compatible partners to women like this, others are not and just want someone who is pretty much the same all the time, or more realistically speaking, far less variance (and those are the extremes with most falling somewhere along the curve). It's neither healthy nor unhealthy, or even necessarily a symptom of some kind of disorder, but a need to be engaged on various emotional levels.  But, we do tend to see those who are incompatible with us as being defective in some way. That's human nature.

This would actually make an interesting segue back to the mars/venus concept... and does show an interesting piece of evidence concerning how we process information differently and even as you stated "differences doesn't cut between genders only." .. What does not kill us, makes us stronger. Accidentally stepped on a piece of shit is not a reason to sit up and howl all day long about the corrupt new shoes.Its excuse to buy new and better. Also in the works in heart-love way.If Life provided an opportunity to learn a lesson and you fell to his knees (literally), there are two ways to be a slave to their fears and crippled self-esteem and whine on, or up-to smile to new opportunities, learn, and courage in the way . Tomsk is much nicer in this regard than most other places in the region.. Still, it's pretty dirty and huge puddles are forming all over the place, mostly on smaller streets away from the center. Some of them look flooded. The cars are all covered in dirt, too..
