 Hello everyone!
My second day in Y.O, city of scammers.  Met “Birthday” girl yesterday, had a nice conversation.  She’s pretty and seemed nice, and then toward the end of the evening, she asked me for a laptop and some English lessons!  Can you believe that?  Feel like I’m on a tour with AWEB, meeting scammers.   Of all things.  Moving on, going to get set up with some other ladies while I’m here, after I see how it goes with the others I said i would meet with.  Not making the same mistake with VO.  Learned from the first one.  Made the acquaintance with a very pretty blonde, long hair, blue eyes, and a beautiful smile, while out around the city and the market.   Too bad, she’s 22, so I won’t be pursuing her.  Not going below 28, if I can avoid it.  I would like a child or two.   
I’ll let everyone know, how it progresses.  Have been having some luck with the sprint.  See if it continues.  The weather today, 64 and rain!!

Kuna, I think any laptop would have served "Birthday" girl just fine, well, at least she didn't specify anyway.  
 Had a little bit of better luck, was introduced to a vet this time, she's nice, speaks some English, not fluent, but the Ipod touch comes in a little handy. (There's an app for that.) Plus, have a English-Russian dictionary.  Met the vet for lunch, may see her later, get to know her a little bit more, see if we click.  Then, I'm off to do some site seeing, and see about meeting some more ladies here.

 Well, I’ve met the ladies that I was writing to, the old adage; don’t fall in love with letters and pictures.  Pretty city though, a little like a small northern town, with the lakes and forest around.  Well, none of it was really a waste.  Met a couple women, introduced, that hit it off OK with, see where it may go.  The weather has been warm, sometimes wet.   
Enjoying the sites, seeing the women here.  It’s afternoon here now, so hopefully the day brings good luck with it, and some good times to be remembered, see the women I did like, so hopefully that may lead into something.
The trip has been good none the least, seeing sites, seeing some historical monuments, meeting some new people, picked up some souvenirs and have enjoyed a couple of glasses of vodka.  Even taking in the nature around here, even had some coke and mountain dew, at least they have those here.  The meat, has a slightly different taste.   Taken a few of the trolley busses around town.

 Day 7: Yoshkar-Ola, spent the weekend with “Birthday” girl, as it was a misunderstanding, to do the language.  Not “Get” her a laptop, help her with her laptop, some problem, and she wanted help with her English lessons, like practice, not paying for them, as she studies on her own.  Hence the communication.  Well, met her mother, visited their garden/summer/vacation home, we communicated the best that we could, using dictionary and app.  It was very nice, spending the time with her and interesting.  “Birthday” girl, as we have the same day of birth, month, and year.  She was born at 10 to 9, I was born at 10 to 9, eight hours later.  Funny coincidence.  I’m going to see her again, at least once or twice before I leave, and stay in communication with her, and visit her again, later this year.  I’ll do more TR later, computer is slow today.

Hey Manlooking, I must say, I was tired after the trip, from Detroit, then flying out of New York, then after the airport in Moscow, and trip to Y.O, I was drained, so, yes, the ultimate miscommunication, but, I'm glad it went well with her. 
Anotherkiwi, 8 hours older, Maybe I should seek a younger one. Never know, might work out, if not, next trip, before I go, I'll join Dream-Marriage.com sure to have good luck there!
MH2U, I just referred to it as the city of scammers, as I've heard it called that. Didn't really have to many problems with that though.  Ukraine, maybe a possibility, see what happens with this girl though, maybe some others.  But, I can imagine Ukraine scammers as well, and the good ol' USA scammers as well, met a few of them.

Phantom...was that to food for the anastasia bashers...you know for a good laugh??? Or is this girl actually from the anastasia site?
I wonder how many others never used the site yet jump on the proverbial bandwagon?

No I didn’t meet the girl through AWEB, I just posted that as a proverbial statement you might say, I was registered at AWEB, and did chat with a girl on their one night, and it did seem that she was trying to do everything to keep me chatting.  Honestly, that was my own opinion about AWEB, as the girl was 19, and I was 44.  I can see where someone, that was serious about finding someone, could easily spend a few thousand, and the letters, seem to get a lot by the day IMO.  I’m no longer registered there, and only lost out on the few minutes chatting with the young lady.  As for Dream-Marriage, I’ve never used the site, so I couldn’t tell you on that, I’ve seen the site, and looked at it, seeing their success stories, but have no real opinion on them.

Did you ACTUALLY think you were chatting with a serious girl??? I heard of many guys afterward complaining about anastasia having scammers but who is the one footing the bill with UNREALISTIC expectations. There are serious women there, just have to ignore the obvious fake ones, in fact, several I am in contact with....I have expressed to them the terrible reputation among foreign men that anastasia has. I may start a thread with my thoughts on chatting with girls...a first for me.
As far as dream marriage, a friend was there a couple years ago and told me about some girl that was constantly in chat room...well she ended up being fake. Money to be made in chats and video...plenty of care needed.

  Enjoying your TR very much. I seem to be one of the few RWD members with a Yoshkar-Ola wife. Great little city IMO, with many upgrades and improvements from the 1950-ish hamlet it seemed to be 10 years ago.

Thanks.  I'll be heading back to the US on Saturday, a few hours, after getting some sleep.  I will PM you though, I'll most likely be heading on another trip over there.  Yes, the city is very nice, I'm also glad to have gotten through the misunderstanding with her.  I spent the last two days with her, it's kind of interesting, that we share the same birthday, both in the evening, she just 8 hours ahead.  So, when I get home, think on it, communicate with her and see if leads somewhere.

Did she do this on her own??? Or did you ask??? I never had that happen to me. One girl asked to see what she was wearing to go out and she told me she will not parade for me like a horse!!!I don't know if that was good or bad!!

I understand, and I accept.  One has to stop talking and get going.  Know it was a long while since my post, as been busy.  Well, things have really wanned with "Birthday Girl."  But, hey I know these things happen, so will continue my search, just not going to let time lapse, before meeting.

I had asked her to stand up, as even seeing someone on camera, is not a sure fire way, of who you're chatting with, as things can be recordered by the right people, as I have learned this from the studio, with the right equipment, it can seem your speaking to the person.  So, you should ask them to stand, or do a hand signal or hold up some writing.  But, I didn't ask to see her showing off her body.

The Anastasia video chats are nothing more than a scam. The women are paid to sit in front of the camera in shifts while the interpreters carry the conversation. She could be video chatting with more than one guy at the same time.

I don't really like it...but it shows somewhat girls look like. I chatted with one girl and it was her 'kitchen' in background...geez, maybe it was just fake background inside an agency room, thats it...getting food from a fake pantry even fake chewing and glass with nothing inside...even a fake mother walking by cooking on fake stove!!!! Boy was I scammed, it seemed so real!!!  By the way,
girls speaks perfect english!!! I digress......

Not making the same mistake with VO. 

I promote guys to visit many but there are benefits to VO. If a guy clicks well with a woman over the phone and she's there for him everytime he calls, then she deserves extra attention. Even if it doesn't work, VO isn't bad as long as the guy can move on quickly.
 
With you visiting many, love will not blind you easily and your head will be more clear to make a choice. Hopefully you will choose the best woman and come back and VO with her.

Until a couple months ago...i had never video or regular chat......I thought it was not very real......now it is not such a big deal. I don't really video chat, only a few times, but do have a few regular girls I chatted with. And have found out ways to GET their contact info though not easily and the girl HAS to be willing to give you. I don't in very beginning but if things go well.....it is talked about and I have got info for all girls but one and that one I only need her postal address to get info. Now I have a variety of means of contacting girls with emails...phone can be another story( difficult with just ok english skills).

Never thought about having girl hold up paper with contact details.  Think it's odd when you think about it, the girl can't see you.     Things go on with "Birthday Girl".  Not chatting daily, she still seems to pick upon my moods, Lol.  Maybe she's psychic or something.  But, so far, it's going fine.
