No friend to friend correspondence

Kevin wrote about getting a 'Dear John.'  Since I haven't talked seriously with any of my FSU lady friends about marriage, I really haven't gotten any 'Dear Johns.'  However, I have gotten a few, 'lets quit corresponding' messages.  The gals in FSU don't seem to be interested in continuing to correspond on a friend to friend basis once they see no long-term partnership on the horizon.  What has been the experince of you other fellows in this regard?

After about a dozen ladies with whom I've exchanged at least 4 letters, I have one with whom I and a platonic friend.  We realized we had different life goals so were not compatible.  She provides me the Ukrainian female perspective on things, I provide her someone to bounce lifes problems off of, and help her with native English help.

Certainly not... but i see that some man think only about sex... If you wish only sex with RW, don't search in marriage agency and hurt these ladies... search in place who make sex holliday ( like adult friend finder )...

I advice in my post to build a friendship and see if love come with time... a sex will be a part of the love but not the main part ... Several man search RW but the main goal of these man are not always marriage... and they use marriage agency for reach her goal... it is other place for this

The first FSU woman I met in my pursuit was a woman from Novosibirsk, her name is Irena. We met in Italy in 2001, and I was planning to visit her in Nov. that Fall. However, I lost my job on 9/11 and after a few months we drifted apart. I had enough to worry about at that time, and it was almost a relief when she told me in early 2002 that she'd met a man from NZ who proposed to her, and she'd accepted.

We've remained friends over the years, every few weeks she emails me to tell me about her life. Unfortunately her husband turned out to be a total loser (he beat her a few times) and she divorced him (he came to live with her in Novosibirsk, as he'd married a Russian woman a few years earlier who also dumped him, and evidently the immigration laws in NZ required him to wait 5 years before bringing in another). Now she's pretty much given up on this business, which is a shame because she's a lovely woman. She's given me lots of good advice as I've told her about my own relationships and I'm happy to have her as a friend.
