Miss Ukraine second place in Miss Universe 2011

Anyone watch the contest  last night?

I hadn't watched such in many years, but did last night because my Gal saw it advertised and wanted to watch.

Luckily for her, her country woman made it into the top 15, then top 10, then top 5 and finally second place to the quite pretty gal from Angola.

The Ukrainian gal had a very good body and nice face; but  she looked very fragile.

These contests can be quite funny in one respect.  There are some countries of the world where the women are not at all good looking in the face and even mostly ugly.  Yet there they are in this contest . . . beautiful women from those countries . . . who look absolutely nothing like 99 percent of the women living in those countries.

To be frank, I thought it was the most "ordinary" lot I've seen in years. Bad lighting and camera work didn't help I admit but, ordinary.

My wife and I enjoyed following the HGTV series titled 'Design Star' on Monday evenings. Since she's been working late in recent times (busy period for them), I just record it to enable us to watch it together when she comes home a bit later. That said, while we both expected Meg to win the final design contest, I was rooting for Mark and Kellie all season long but they were both eliminated in the semis....

I did not watch the contest, but Olesya does look very fragile in the photos, and I think... the heavy make-up makes her look older.
