Billy you better correct your post pronto.  Your detractors will have a field day with it.

I knew it could be interpreted different when I wrote it. I'm in the mood for fun anyway.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

I am mystified about your comments!  I said nothing in this post about my own desires.

I failed in my sarcasm.  I knew that you said nothing about your desires.  However, it seemed that many were atttributing the military man's opinions to you.  And I picked up on that error when Vinny wrote "you should seek a Muslim wife" pretending the "you" was you.

Obviously I screwed that up.  So when do you travel to Bangladesh? :D

Horse meat is rare in Uzbeki cuisine, saved just for festive occasions.  I say that because one rarely sees a horse as road kill.  :D   The ever day Uzbeki dishes are made with typical road kill.    :)

Gator, have you been to Uzbekistan?

OK, I got it now.

What is 'a Billy's?'

Sounds like the grammar used by Ukrainians and Russians who are not yet up to speed with the use of  articles in the English language.  I am having a lot of experience with this currently.

Or is there really an item called a "Billy's Tranny."

And can't 'Tranny' refer to both a transmission and a transvestite?

Which meaning are you referring to; or is this an inside joke of some sort?

Now I understand the reasoning why someone coined the phrase "I can eat a horse".

It seemed to be offered in almost every Uzbek cafe I went to. My ex fiancee ordered it every time we went... maybe for the reasons chivo stated. :D

Better get to know real well who you are marrying rather than simply assume that i she is from a Muslim state she must be "homy and conservative".
If Uzbek women have 4-10 kids, I assume that they are better mothers, lovers, and cooks than Ukrainian women who have only 1-2 kids.

A Mexican woman, for example, is always surrounded by kids. She usually has 3-4 children.

Gator, have you been to Uzbekistan?

No, yet I know a little as I collected antique Uzbeki weavings years ago until they became too expensive and I sold them.

For clarification, my comment about horses and road kill and .... was an attempt at humor.  A failed attempt, obviously.  Or maybe people from your Russian oblast dined on road kill.  ;) [Another joke.]

Vincenzo, you always amaze me in how you interpret facts.
 :)

As example: Polish mothers are generally known for thier overly motherly ways, exactly how many children do they average?

Compare Chad or Ethiopia ?

Socio-religious  economic and other factors seem to play far more role in how many children an average nationality has , than in how *good* of mothers ,lovers ,or cooks they are?

If that's your main data point , here you go:
http://www.pregnantpause.org/numbers/fertility.htm

might want to note Laos  is 5.8 children per houshold, while  sandwiched between Vietnam at 2.6, and Thailand at 1.6
Laotian mothers are just much better in several catagories?

Gator, jokingly or not but I have never tried any road kill.

BTW a national Uzbek meat is lamb. Use of beef in their cuisine is rare, horse meet they usually use for boiled sausages and for tourist I guess who believe in the old wives' tales  ;D

As you know Uzbeki people are everywhere in Moscow.  I insisted to my ex-wife that we go to an Uzkeki restaurant.  We did, and the food was delicious and not expensive (we sat outside in small open marquee tent with weavings).  Yes, lamb was featured.  No horsemeat (suggesting that Moscow men have large penises).

ManLooking, interesting topic!

I think it is good that you introduced the subject because so many agencies sell a fantasy to Western men. Then upon finding that the ladies just can't measure up to all the agency hype, the men feel cheated and the women feel that they were "recruited" for a job instead of building a life together from mutual respect and love.

By the same token we WM don't always measure up to the expectations some RW/UW have for the same reasons of being "oversold" by agencies and others as if somehow we make better husbands and fathers than RM/UM.

ML, while I don't think the military man was correct as a generalization, obviously even a broken clock is right twice a day. That being said, all of us enter relationships with expectations about what the other person will do for us and in a setting where two people from different cultures, different languages and far away places consummate a marriage after a meeting or two and some emails and Skye conversations, it's no wonder there is so much heartbreak after a few years.

I must share this: last night I called Mrs. M on her cell phone. She is in the Canary Islands on an art tour and when she answered the phone, just one word let me know that she loves and misses me. It was the excitement in how she spoke my name, then immediately followed with a pet nickname she reserves for me. It made her day that I called and it showed by her reaction.

At that moment all the cleaning and cooking in the world didn't matter. I knew with every fiber of my being that my best friend and I could have talked for hours--we didn't because of the expense--but we had a great call from start to finish. BTW, she is a good cook, my MIL is a great cook, and I'm right behind. Over the years we've learned to flex and form a team to manage what needs to be done.

I will also share this: A leftover from Soviet times were the apartment garbage ladies whose job is to daily clean the base of those huge metal garbage tubes found in the stairways of many older buildings. There seemed to be a stigma attached and my MIL never wanted me to take out the garbage as if that was something shameful for a man or person in society. I made a rule that Mrs. M was to never take out the garbage. Either I did the garbage duty or one of the children, and it eventually included washing dishes. That rule, a way to honour her, stood for a long time. Only as the children have moved out on their own and my job now requires travel 4-5 days weekly has it been necessary for me to sometimes wimp out on that pledge.  :)

If there is truly love with mutual admiration and respect, then who boils the potatoes doesn't really matter.

Great post Mende,
Is this what you mean by the garbage chutes?  I was curious to what it was so took a photo of it.  This was in Cherkassy, Ukraine in an apartment complex.  I never did see where it lead to.  Apparently it is underground or out of sight.
