You told that you'd had a lot of video calls with the girls, what kind of things were you discussing, what kind of plans were you making, did you discuss any plans for the future together, if yes, how did you see their future in your country or your future in their country(if you were planning to migrate to Ukraine)

PS: you also mentioned that the video calls, etc took a lot of money, video and skype messenger calls are free. What exactly was the sum of so many thousands of euros spend on?
Talk about future with whom? More than one girl?
Guys, is the OP banned in skype?
8,000 euro!

after that, i was forced to make an emailaccount on mail.Ru, because they didn't know how it skype worked, or the other mail addresses,

so, I'm wondering doll, what are you trying to proof
that I'm a sextourist, that is whining that i didn't received sex?????

noelscot, you obviously didn't read the post full of articles about sex tourism in the world read it, please, all those people could have had sex in their own countries, so why does such a things as sex tourism exist then?! What makes men go to Brazil, Thailand, Ukraine to get sex?! They could have had it in Germany, USA, Canada....

The reason why I had some suspicion has also been explaned by me: when you go on trips and can't find anyone and just keep looking is one thing. When you are having "serious relationship" with several girls at the same time that's a totally different one.

Plus, the guy was having parties with a lot of Ukrainian girls but didn't do anything to stop it, now he says he didn't like that and didn't like paying for them all, but at that time he obviously felt fine with it... that was "extremely serious."
 :cluebat:

I read the articles. Sex tourism exists because men are horny bastards, and the prices in their own countries for prostitution are higher. So men go to economically impoverished places and take advantage of the lower prostitution prices. I personally find sex tourism to be disgusting behavior, but the genie is out of the bottle. If by "serious relations" the OP meant sex (that's the definition of girlfriend-a woman with whom a man is having sex), with multiple UW, then maybe he is a sex tourist. I just don't think he'd be on here posting like a jilted lover, if he'd had orgies with a bunch of UW. He'd have left Ukraine with a big smile on his face, not the sour grapes he's posting here. Anyway, his general point was to avoid the scammer website he listed. We all know his methods of finding a sincere lady were very flawed, to say the least.

Doll, I can't say that I have a favorite cuisine, I really like the variety. I think that every culture has very tasty dishes as well as the ones that aren't that good or require an aquired taste to be liked and enjoyed.
Since I enjoy cooking myself, I really only get impressed by restaurant food when a chef is a true artist and puts a lot of soul in the dishes he/she creates.

sum of those videocalls, in total was around 8000 euro, consider it was 280 euro for 50 min of talk, from June to end august
errrr....
And you didn't have any sign of suspicion in your head that the videocalls that are free in all known messengers cost you 8000 euro, like in phone sex where you pay a lot per minute, the only conclusion you made was that the girl is real and decided to visit her?!

no better, and mutch more on youre plate

I have eaten in many French restaurants outside of France and never overly impressed. I've never been to Belgium but, I have been to France and I can vouch, the rest of the world has much to learn from French and the wonderful things they do with food.

bruttus, Doll and Vasilisa, rather than try to understand what you have said and your situation would obviously rather pick it over like buzzards on a corpse hoping to make you out a sex tourist. You would do well to over look those comments and let it slide. They don't wish to understand. FWIW

Belgium cuisine is amongst the most interesting of Europe, for a lack of another word it could be described as the origional fusion food.

As for some of the posts, except that it 9 am in Amsterdam I would have a good triple (Westmalle) and I need to work some of the posts are in very poor taste.

My opinion Bruttus is a bit naive and was taken advantage of. Is this reason to go ballistic on his part no, in fact what happened was Modus Operandi where he was. In that I am too junior a member so I will refrain from giving an opinion, but I am amused by the attitude of certain posters who exhibit either poor manners or simple poor upbringing.

If there was a true community spirit on RWD perhaps the postings could be more positive and point Bruttus in a direction where he might have more success. Of course if you post a travel report and say your opinion as well ask question it might get dumped into the inconvienyent garbage pile.

On the other side Bruttus, perhaps it is better not to use names and links to profiles.

Oh, please! Again these American cliche!

The person is complaining, telling his story, people read and tell him where he is wrong. The Russian participants' manner of posting is different- it has to be.
Oh, well  :D
Actually, you can put some sugarcoating on RW's postings if you want, but the truth is- Bruttus was NOT forced to pay what he paid. Skype is free, phone calls are quite cheap,
his arms were NOT twisted to give all this money.
Sorry, forgot to "sugarcoat" my posting. :D

That is the most doubtful part of the thread! The girls did NOTHING wrong, yet their names are being used by Bruttus constantly!
The first and last names are real, he mentions the profiles number and the name of the city while he himself is staying  anonymous.
He came and left, the girls have to live there.

Also, if you calculate taking low to average fares and prices, like the plane tickets prices around 200-300 euros, providing the OP has made 2 trips to Ukraine and spent 8000 on video calls the sum you get is going to be around 20 euros spent per day, that's without his coming to celebrate his birthday, without the money sent for the internet and without money on european holidays (which was considered to be he main sum of scam). I also don't understand how his eating in restaurants and his plane tickets is scam.

He didn't do it for the girls, he did it for HIMSELF, because he wanted to improve his life and get something he couldn't get there, where he lives right now.

If you go to Las Vegas , stay in an expensive room of Bellagio, go to casino , play and lose will you go complain about scam, include your plane tickets and the cost of living in the hotel in scam, too?! No, because you wanted to have fun  and you got fun, the problem is that you didn't get all fun you had expected, but that's life, you can't always be the winner, that's not the reason to blame all people around for that, learn the lesson and move on. If you can't admit the fact that you can't always be the winner don't play at all.

By the way, I am dating in the US now
let's count:
the cost of the dress I had to buy to go on a date: $40
shoes$50
make up:$ 20
manicure-pedicure-$40
the cost of the internet, phone calls, gas for the car to get there, time wasted- I can't even count! ::)

And when I come the men turn out to be liars and hide something and look different than they do in the pictures.

Gosh, I am just being scammed every date,  I should put all their names and numbers in the black list.

PS: it looks like someone is just making fun of us all, guys. :P :clapping:

It has happened here before.  A few years ago, a clever member named Scot Jay would become bored, disguise himself as a hopeless man, and fabricate a clever tale.  This time we have two stories running concurrently - Lakehead and Brutus.

I have many questions:

Has anyone searched to see if Brutus's ISP is in Belgium?  Is it the same as Lakehead's?

Has anyone analyzed Brutus's misspellings?  Is there a consistent pattern, or the spellings so randomized to indicate a hoax?

I know little about Belgium, having just passed through it going somewhere else.  I found it odd his mixing of "baker" and "cook."  Why not use the word chef if one is from Belgium (although he may not be a chef in the true meaning of the word)?  Is Belgian cuisine  just about chocolate and waffles?   Yes, Godiva chocolates will warm the heart of any RW, but there must be something else.

I find it really odd that a man would spend almost $20,000 on this venture and have nothing positive.  You can have a RW wife for a year on that budget.

And can a young cook/baker earn enough to have $20,000 in discretionary funds in a year or whatever the time frame of the story?   Does a Euro man work 10-11 hours per day, 6 days per week?  Maybe it is possible and  that is how he earned the extra money to finance his fantasy ride.

The girls did NOTHING wrong....

Do you really believe thse two girls did nothing wrong?

To encourage a man to spend $20,000, they surely had to fuel his fantasy.  They had to give him hope during those many video calls.  This is deceit, and it is dishonest.  It is wrong in my book.

There are names for this:   con, scam, grift, hustle, bunco, swindle, flimflam, gaffle, bamboozle...  It is a swindle.  IIn legal terms it is fraud, punishable as a crime dependent upon some factors.

I realize that you are from a culture where deceit and corruption are prevalent.  Perhaps those who are good at deceit are admired in your birth culture as being very clever.   However, you have resided in  America for many years.  I really would like to know your opinion.

Normally this is frowned upon at RWD.  And while you say it is  "the most doubtful part of the thread," to me these specifics and the agency's name are the most convincing parts.
