It does not tell me anything like 'I am happily married'. It may tell me that in case he is married, his wife does not care much about his physical shape.

The study was done in Turkey.  I am glad I did not drink the water when there on holidays with RW.   
 
When I worked in the Middle East in the  1970s, the local women tended to prefer heavy men as this suggested the men were successful businessmen.  Slender men were thought to have a low paying job requiring much manual labor.  Now after reading missAmeno's reference I know the reason.   
 
My ex-wife from Moscow thought me too skinny.

It's probably cuz back in the old times, the one who could ejaculate faster was less likely to go extinct, than those than need half an hour and get interrupted 10 times before they are able to finish, so now they are all extinct

Gentlemen, do not overemphasize the value and importance of your look.
After all, the parameters that  delimit your good looks are much less constrained than those that limit our attractiveness. 

BTW, the men I found truly magnificent were not in line with what is considered  societal standards of male physical beauty. Coincidence or not?

I once knew a guy who was really ugly, but he had so much charisma, like half of the girls in our group had a crush on him And it was a predominantly female group. Of course we didn't speak about it, but it was so obvious from the way they giggled and the manners when you observe them talk to him. Lol. Not long ago i looked him up on facebook, my first thought was, gawd, how ugly. Photos just don't relay the charisma. Lol

I personally like more or less average shaped men: neither fat nor skinny, nor too althletic (to me it's a sign of narcissism): the ones that just look like healthy men in shape.

PS: I HATE when men have fat legs. Especially fat, pale white and hairy, brrrr

When you talk to him in real life, he doesn't seem ugly at all. On the opposite he seems very attractive. I swear, our mind plays tricks on us! lol . And he doesnt even do anything to charm the girls, considering his girlfriend was also in our group, and it was obvious that he likes her very much, maybe love, so he wasnt hitting on anyong, he was just being himself, and that self just DRAWS women.

I like either skinny and athletic or just athletic (but not too heavy) men. My husband is very athletic and i appreciate him doing all the exercise and staying fit. I try to do the same.
No, I don't like bellies on men. They repulse me.
