May not be a girl you know that steals the money. There are more than one key to apartments.

True!

When I stayed at a hotel in Cali, Colombia, they put 2 new bar of soaps every morning and clean my room, make bed, and so on.   I love the soap, so I put an un-used soap in my drawer every morning.

One day (on the 5th day), I complaint that the lady did not put new soap in.  She said that I have many of them in my drawer.   I, then went to see the manager and file the co,plaint and  told her that why was the cleaner looking in my drawers for ??? !!!!   It shows that the cleaner cannot be trusted and was looking for something in my drawers when she shouldn't have!

Had it happened many years ago, some would have asked you for the name of that Colombian hotel ;D.

A rather unusual body development . . . I would think.

Was it because the mothers or fathers were taking some kind of drugs before conception or birth?

Can you provide a pic of these women whose mid-calf is above their knee?

Thank God this condition seems rare today.

Next time when choosing your hotel, make sure that "cleaning inside drawers" is not included in the hotel room attendant's duties :D

Yes, it does sound like a bit of an urban legend. In this day and age, I don't see why anybody would need so much cash given that even towns with five thousand people in Russia have bank machines that accept foreign cards and withdrawals...

I am not sure about whether this is a genuine story from my local contact or not. That said, I did hear he talked with some guy over the phone on this, and he derived no benefit from telling me this story.

Update:
Today (24 Aug) is a big day in Kharkov. They are having a big celebration in the freedom suqare (for the independence as I understand it). There was a bit of shower in the morning, and some drizzle in the afternoon, but fortunately there was no shower in the evening and the temperature was also right. The weather was almost perfect for such a big celebration.

I just came back form the party. It was a very nice experience (see attached pictures). A downside was that there were so many people smoking. So when I came back, I could still smell the smoke in my shirt. I got accquanted with an English speaking girl, together with her non-English speaking boyfriend and a little-English speaking girl friend. Her girl friend was really beautiful, and appeared to be available. It was a shame that her girl friend's English is not enough for smooth communication. Nevertheleess, I got this English speaking girl's mobile number, and told her that I will call her tomorrow to set up a meeting with her boyfriend and girl friend ;)

It is 1am here. So bed time for me  :)

These girls and their agencies have no heart.

But why? Girls do have hearts, they are just keeping their hearts for someone they love, not for a dude who came to a "third world country" looking for fresh meat because he heard he can get it there cheaper than at home.

How do you arrive at that conclusion ?

I actually think there's a lot of truth to it. This is why I've been advocating staying away from agencies and look for women on local Russian dating sites. At least you know that these women are really single and looking.

mies,
So,you're saying u407 went to Kharkov looking for fresh meat, because he heard he can get it cheaper than at home ?

How do you arrive at that conclusion ?

Is U407 looking for an middle-aged/post-middle-age woman? I doubt that. So yes, I'm pretty sure his date is quite young and quite hot.

Is he older than she is? I think he is.

What he is saying in his posts is basically "I think I am spending too much, will I get a bang for my buck?"
If he were able to meet the girl of comparable looks and take her on the first date to Subway, today he would be happily dating that American girl, or many young and hot american girls, taking them out to McDonald's in USA, and would not even think about traveling to Ukraine. A decent restaurant dinner for 3 in USA is about 120, same as he paid in Ukraine. Restaurants in Kiev are more expensive and lower quality than restaurants in New York or LA. Kharkov isn't much cheaper than Kiev. The fact that U407 is saying that he thinks it was an expensive dinner says that either he isn't normally eating out in nice places in USA, or that he was expecting that Ukraine, and the dating experience in Ukraine will be somehow cheaper than it is in USA. The fact thaty he is surprised that Ukrainian woman suggested a nice restaurant to him and not a cheap eatery, suggests that he thought that Ukrainian women will be thinking how to minimize his expenses on a date. I am trying imagine an american girl who would say to the guy who asks her out "let's go to CVS and get hot dogs there. We can eat them on the bench in the park, it will be cheap and romantic." So why does U407 expect to see this type of behavior among ukrainian women whereas he does not expect to see this type of behavior among women in his own country?
Yes, he is looking for cheaper and nicer date. IMHO, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I agree completely with everything in your post here...

But here's the thing.. it isn't really about the restaurant (which let's not forget, he's expected to pay for the interpreter as well, above and beyond hourly rate)  While I doubt many AW would want cvs hotdogs on a first date, I HAVE had many offers for picnics, etc... but that has more to do with my irresistible male magnetism..  ;D   One experience I've not yet had, neither here nor there, is a woman taking me somewhere with the expectation that I buy her presents - lipstick, whatever - on a first date.  It's just not normal in my circles.  Sure, I may bring a small gift of some sort, flowers, a perfume, something of my choosing, but to take me shopping with expectations?  Not even once...

So basically, you cannot carry credit cards with you because they will be useless, correct?

Sure I can carry them, for whatever I would choose to use them.  The difference being that a down to earth, normal, sensible woman would not have the expectation of using them for herself on a first date.

exactly. But why it has to be a cheap date? Just because it is Ukraine?

Overall, I agree with the conclusion that woman wasn't interested in this particular man. An easy way to weed out insincere women is to have genuine and sincere motives. If he tries to "get a better deal on a brand name product" he's just like those girls who buy "Chanel" handbags on e-Bay for a fraction of price and then complain they were ripped off for a counterfeit product.
