Vacation in Astrakan, 2012

Inspired by other TRs I've decided to promote the city which I love and where I was grown up and spent the last month. Astrakhan is the city of 520,000 inhabitants in southern Russia at Volga river, 1500 km from Moscow. Astrakhan was founded during Ivan the Terrible rule 450 years ago as a  fortress, and now it's quite a nice place to live in. 


Astrakhan Kremlin is the historical center of the city. Cathedral of the Assumption of the Kremlin  is considered as one of the best pieces of the Russian orthodox temple architecture of the early XVIII century. Bell tower looks right as Leaning Tower of Pisa, but it is just the optical effect (unfortunatly for tourism).


The latest local architectural attraction is the Musical State Theatre of Opera and Ballet. Pompous building is the gift of president Putin to the city. He likes to visit Astrakhan at leisure because the city is famous over all Russia for its fortunate fishing at Low Volga. Putin usually spends a few hours at business meeting (TV reports about that) then goes in a quiet recreation place  to enjoy by the excellent fish biting (TV keeps silence about that). O.K., the building is great, however stands empty since 2011 because there are no opera and ballet teams in Astrakhan.


Modern buildings are growing up across the city like this Al Pash GRAND hotel opened in 2009, best hotel in the city.


I never was inside the hotel as I prefer to lay at the beach across this hotel. Summer season in Astrakhan is hot, really hot. Young folks escape heat in fountains near Kremlin:



I must confess I see more nice looking girls in Astrakhan than in Moscow. Perhaps because my eyes are more relaxed during summer vacation. Some of my random observations and thoughts  below:

I like to meet in Astrakhan the girls with asian faces and slender legs, not a typical combination. This one is likely of a Kazakh descent.


Model looking girls are not scarce at the Astrakhan streets. The tall blonde decorates a crowd,  though larger bust would make her an incredible eye-candy. May I dream a little?


Frankly my taste belongs to down-to-earth women. I don't know how they call these shapes in geometry but  these smooth wonderful body lines turn my spirit on. Well, high heel again.

Belvis, I salute your city, Астрахань! Nice photos.

I was last there in August 2011 for the Volga river fishing trip of President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin when they came to the agreement to switch places again for the March 2012 election.

There are plenty of those beautiful Asian looking ladies as the area was first a stronghold of the Golden Horde and the Astrakhan Khanate prior to falling to Ivan the Terrible.  Ivan developed the Astrakhan Delta region as a Russian gate to the Orient and the mix of ethnic Russians and families from Asia make this a unique and beautiful place.

Can you get me her email, or probably her mother's email??

I got so aroused, I must go interrupt my Gal during her study.
(Actually she doesn't mind when I get aroused looking at other gal's legs.)

I'm sorry,  there were so many fine girls that I did not know which legs exactly should be asked for e-mail. I add one more photo of Volga embankment with  both man's and woman's legs. Didn't you tell about prejudice?

I already  specified, it was the gal you noted:  'This one is likely of a Kazakh descent.'

And, my comment about prejudice only applies to other men  - - - not me.

I only go for the women, even where the man might have great legs.  That third leg is a turn off . . . at least for me.  But just before I got up to check here, my Gal grabbed . . . . . .  I am afraid to go back to TV room now.

She has really gotten into American football.
