Met a Very Nice Lady and Going to Moscow to meet her in February

I have been talking on the phone for sometime now to a very nice lady I have met that lives in Kislovodsk, Russia.  We are finally going to meet in Moscow in February.  I do not speak the language but she is very literate in the English language.  We are staying in hotel in Moscow.  I am just wondering if anyone has any advice for me.  I will be traveling alone, until I meet her at the airport.

Hotel might be fine for first visit and more secure for the lady but many of us moved on to rental flats for further visits.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice for me. 

It's customary to bring a small gift for her, perhaps chocolates or something associated with your country.

I also suggest that you read a lot of the trip reports here.  You will learn how serious and nice FSUW act when they are into you.  I also suggest that you learn the Russian alphabet.  Even though you will be with your girl, it will be helpful if you can read the signs.

And call your bank before your trip to tell them you will be in Russia.  That way your credit cards will work there instead of being declined for anti-fraud purposes.  Also, take cash, but make sure the bills are in pristine condition so they will be accepted for exchange to Russian rubles.  I'm assuming you have a Russian visa already.

Do you have a Plan B?   The worst case scernio is that she doesn't turn up to meet you at the airport?
