Malicious code on dating site?
« on: February 04, 2013, 05:38:41 AM »
Hey guys,
my client is using fdating to chat with a couple of women from there. But yesterday when we wanted to open fdating site I got a message from Chrome browser that this site contains malicious code and wouldn't even let us open it. Does any one know anything about that or having the same issue?

It seems the site is infected as are other sites that belong to the same group, probably a MySQL injection in the advertising engine they use.
If you have mail contact to the staff warn them, through Google Webmaster Help it will be easy to find and remove the infection.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Thanks Shadow! Is it safe to open it using Safari?

I would not consider it safe to be opened in any browser. There is an online tool to check the exact infection, but current malware does affect all operating systems. While a good virus scanner might catch and block the threat, and it may not even try to infect you as it is not a constant issue, in such cases it is preferred to contact the website and wait until they have solved the issue.

One of the websites I manage was recently showing a warning from a malware ad, which led to the removal of the ad company from it as they seemed to care more about making cash than about safety. I was fast enough to avoid getting a block warning, as I was lucky to visit the site regularly.
In the past a block has happened, but it can be removed within 24 hours if you take the right measures. Just a matter of knowing there is a problem :)

I'm using Firefox.
I got the same warning a couple of weeks ago.

Because of the warning I didn't try to enter the site.

I stayed away for about 2 weeks.
I went back a few days ago and no longer got the warning.

I've entered the site a few times now and it seems OK.

YMMV
