Ten Years

Well, today marks a decade of wedded bliss. Last night we quietly reviewed events that qualified as milestones - and a few that tested our very fibre.
 
Our three daughters, all involved or engaged, now range from 22 to 26 and are quite independent. Ten years ago this was not the case, of course, and Elvira and I were mightily challenged.
 
It's all turned out so well for them, and for us. Glad to see many of you still here.

10 years is quite a yardstick, couldn't happen to a more deserving and downright good folks  :D It's not really work if you enjoy doing it

We appreciate all the well-wishes. Last night was spent quietly at home alone, toasting and celebrating in our own way.
 
Gator, the nest isn't quite "empty" yet, with our 24 year old Lenara still laying claim to one of the guest bedrooms. Just a matter of time I am sure. We ourselves have no big plans; simplicity of lifestyle has been our mantra. I have joyfully slipped into semi-retired mode and thus waved so long to much work-related stress and anxiety.
 
Viking Greg, I'll always be grateful for your unselfish "rescue" when I was temporarily stranded at JFK - regretfully we don't get up to New York often as in years past, but Elvira and Alena certainly enjoyed meeting one another almost two years ago. There's an outside chance we'll be up there again in October.
 
jj and Marina ~ we miss you, too. We really should set aside an afternoon and meet in the mountains. It's been far too long. We've got to visit the DC Consulate in March - and haven't forgotten how you two kindly proxied for our daughter.
 
Elvira, singing along to the Romani guitar of Vadim Kolpakov. We've become big fans of his...     and one more from last summer in Yoshkar Ola.
