Immigration reform

Forgive me if I missed the thread. How will the current discussion and voting in congress affect us lads whose ladies are still being held captive in Eastern Europe. What I have read seems to suggest that the processing time of visa documents will be limited to 6 months. You guys who are smarter than me about these things please clarify.

Thanks   Peewee

A lot of that depends on where you are.  Here in the Northeast, visas get processed faster than 6 months anyway, as short as 3 months if everything goes without a hitch.

Even still, I believe that the visa processing time is utterly ridiculous and should be processed by any competent government in 30 days or less.

And this is the biggest problem. We do not have a competent government.

For some reason I thought the K-1 process was taking years. I must be way behind the times.
