Russian Women are Raised to Hold Men in Adoration
« on: April 07, 2006, 07:00:28 AM »
As a result of the huge losses of men in WWII and the more of less continual wars that have gone on, there exists a shortage of RM in general.  Because of this, there was an emphasis in the Soviet culture for RW to place RM in a special place in their hearts.  The responsibilities placed on the RM’s shoulders are huge.  As a matter of association, many RW hold a special place for all men in general.  This is a most fortunate aspect of culture differences. IMO, RW are wired to have a predisposition to adore men.  One can even see it in very young Russian girls.  Any man that will take the time to speak to them are like deers caught in the headlights.

One kind of adoration is at the initial meeting or beginning of a WM/RW face-to-face relationship.  They (RW) can have this awe and wonderment that a WM (and all that represents) has flown perhaps halfway around the world to find her.  They are wondrous of this fate that they should be so fortunate and thus are in a subtle form of shock.  They may cling to the WM like they should never part.  They may throw Russian caution to the wind and bare their soul.  They may be vulnerable to that fortunate WM.  If the WM responses in kind, a great kindling will ensue.  This is an adoration that comes from the heart.  It is sweet and innocence.  It is precious.

Then there is an adoration of the mind.  This is when some of the infatuation fades and is replaced with respect for the WM.  RW are often hurt by relationships with RM.  Some RW have learned to expect this from any man.  As such they are waiting for the other shoe to drop with their marriage to a WM.   In this respect, the association of RM’s not so glorious attributes is not so good for men in general.   To their surprise, WM are responsible husbands and fathers to their (RW’s) children.  It takes some time for them to realize that this can be true and that there is not other shoe waiting to have them become disillusioned with the WM.  When this happens, the RW develops an adoration of respect toward the WM.  They will then rely on the decisions and views of the WM both in heart and soul.  No, I’m not saying that they will accept everything lying down.  They as RW will not argue near as much and with less protest.  Getting the adoration of the mind is no small feat.   However, when one attains it, one has captured her in heart and soul… a true soul mate unlike any other.

There maybe something to this as I know for a fact that Russian mothers dote over their son's like they were little princes :dude: ready to take the throne. Is it too much of a stretch that they may do the same over their men? Of course tick them off and into the dungeon you go...

It is something Ronin posted on his board at RWP.

He also posted this;

RW and Traditional Roles…

In our culture where women are always trying push the man out of his pants, RW are like heaven.  Russian women are raised to believe in traditional role models.  There is no competing for who does what in the family.  The husband does the husband things and the wife does wife things.  As long as both keep their perspective ends up, the relationship will be a happy one.  With RW, life becomes very clear since there is no fog of war that clouds the gender playing field.

In Russia where men are a precious resource, RW are raised to understand that men have a special standing in society. They look up to their husbands to be the leader of the family.  RW want to respect their husbands.  Perhaps in some respects, respect is more important than love.

RW will fight to keep their family intact.  They have total commitment to family and will do whatever it takes to insure its survival.

Perhaps these words sound like hollow drum beating and/or contrived statement …. they are not.  Russia is an unforgiving land and RW know this well.  To have anything that approaches a normal family life, everyone must know exactly what they are responsible for.  There is little if any room for mistakes when it comes to the well being of the family.

For the WM that is looking to clarify his life, RW will do this.  She will dispel the luggage that had been heaped upon WMs backs.  In its place will be a simple understanding of taking care of ones wife and family. The forced differentiation of man's duality will be unified once again.

Ronin

I would say he is talking about a certain type of Russian woman and not all Russian women. Perhaps one of those fabled traditional Russian women?

The first post and what Maxx posted are almost perfect examples of the agency hype scenario. The women from the FSU are just as much (and is some way more) individual in their characters. This is like saying all AW are controlling b!tches or all women from Bolivia want to be beaten. There are always some who fit this but most are who they are and not generalization will fit them.

Since it's less time consuming to isolate what's "right" with chipmonk's post, than what's wrong, the quoted text is all I believe NOT to be either anecdotally or blatently misleading...
