Need good advice for trip to Odessa

Zonker, I have lots of experience with Odessa and Anastasiadate. I spent 2.5 years on that site and met 3 women (3 trips). None of them were looking for a serious relationship at all. They were all pro-daters with one goal only, to separate my money from me. This is what you will look forward to if you go to Odessa and meet women from Adate:
 
1. If you arrange an apartment with them, you will be paying big bucks for a crappy apartment no where near the City Center. Make your own arrangements, please!!! Many guys here have already given you some good sites to use.
 
2. If your girl actually shows up she will have her Adate appointed guardian/interpreter in tow.They may even already have a pre-arranged EXPENSIVE taxi driver (same guy every time) who will appear to take you to all of the places they will suggest you go to. They will suggest many nice and EXPENSIVE restaurants for you to go to usually involving sushi because they have arrangement with these restaurants to get a cut of their profits from you.
 
3. Your gal will usually only be available to date (fleece) you in the evenings so you'll be spending most of your day all alone in your crappy apartment. She may be already married or have a boyfriend so she can't possibly spend all day with you.
 
4. Eventually, if she or her terp hasn't suggested it at first meeting, she will want to take you shopping for gifts for her because the ones you already brought with you are certainly not enough.
 
My advice to you is to not even bother with Anastasia at all!!!! Save what many you have left and find a serious girl on any of the already suggested sites here. You will save your self tons of money, time and most of all disappointment!!!!
The good news is you have found this forum in enough time to salvage your trip. Use your time now wisely to find some real serious women......Good luck

I have been going to FSU for business and pleasure since year 2000; somewhere around 30 trips to several cities.

Odessa had the most insincere women that I met in all of FSU.

Well, I made 3 trips to Odessa, only the first resulted in a fleecing for 4 days before I put an end to it. The second trip resulted in a no show. Third trip was with a nice gal (from another site) but it did not work out.

Hammer, I don't quite understand what happened to you but...
1. Never has it ever came up with any girl about an apt through A-date. Always take care of this by yourself!!
2. Never has any talk of any taxi between girl or terp toward me. We walk to a café. Terp was around for 1-2 hour depending on how I feel toward girl.
3. Never met a girl for evening...always for afternoon either 1-4 pm, now if things go well we might have dinner
together...minus the terp.
4. Never with an A-date girl did we ever go shopping, never even suggested. If it was, I would have said I was not interested.
Well Hammer......guess you were picking the wrong girls. Sorry bout that!!!

Odessa is a pretty cool city. I always enjoy it.  That was my first FSU trip destination as well.  I had an absolute blast for a month thus began the journey.


You have the right attitude. Just relax and have fun!

Odessa is a beautiful city to visit and I enjoyed staying there with my ex-girlfriend.  She is from Tashkent, Uzbekistan and we met each other in Kiev on our 3rd meeting and went to Odessa.

But women from Odessa............. no way!

Just an update: I have been in Odessa now for a week and it has been mixed results. I have met/dated eight ladies in seven days. They have spanned the age range of 28-42, and all of them had their own unique story, personality, baggage, good qualities, etc. The first four I met were in the older part of the age range (36-42), and they were more modest women, grounded, hard working, honest. Of course these qualities were appreciated by me.

However, I wanted to experience dating younger women also, so that was arranged. This was an entirely different experience, and considerably more expensive financially.

I will post more on the trip reports section when I return, but I wanted to again thank everyone here, especially my friend Jon, for all your help and advice. Despite the little squabbles here and there among you, this is a nice community of men helping each other find happiness.

Women aged 35 to 50 are the best of all, in my opinion.
Better cooks, housekeepers, more realistic, less demanding, less likely to be looking to trade-up, less chance of young children in tow, less histronics and drama, more interesting, more life experiences, and much better at sex . . . for their partners and for themselves.

But need to find those who are naturally and genetically slender . . . if you care about that aspect.
