Don't judge the girl by the post.  A lot of foreign men are filling up RW inmail with strange requests.  A lot of them are just creepy men.  Hard for them to figure out the good from the bad.  Many of this women are married or have a boyfriend and do not understand why these men are trying to meet them.

I met tons of girls on Vk.  One was my number 1 for about 2 months.  I ran into a lot of problems illustrated here.  I also used vk as a means of getting to know ladies I would meet on free dating sites.  A lot of girls don't uae them though.  Betsy thinks they are stupid.

She is real. Her VKontakte page is 5 years old, over 100 friends and she has been chatting with me from that account.

There is lots of skepticism here, Irina, for good reason. I'm sure you will have some great insights to share.

I don't think there is anything wrong with contacting a girl on VK. I do it when I've met them on another dating site and I also give them my VK page so then can see more pics of me. I like to see theirs for the same reason and to have one more confirmation they are real. As I said to begin, it is invaluable when checking out an agency girl.

But neither I nor most guys here would use it as a primary dating site. Which can easily be done BTW. Unlike FB, you can search by groups. Find all girls "Single" or "Searching" who are in a certain city between ages of... But that is very random and the vast majority of the girls are not interested in a foreign guy.

The opposite is also true. I've had women find me because they are looking for foreign guys who are "Actively Searching". So it's just one more medium to market yourself. That is, if you don't mind looking desperate to LAMan... Unlike, say... being on a real dating site and announcing to the whole world you are looking for love.

If you are going to use Vk to meet chics, I would advise short notes, less than 144 characters, being somewhat ambigious.  The point is not to make make a live connection but to get a response and see if you even want to get to know this person as a human being before a lover.

Perhaps this translation will help you understand better how some girls are viewing total strangers trying to make friends with them on vk.

Personally--I do not care-- but-- the forums can get very pedantic when posters are less than transparent in motive  eg a commercial interest needs to be stated. That does not prevent anyone from participating on the forums-- but the proper arrangements need to be made.

Irishka friended me. I hid her friendship from view (only she could see it.)  I typically do that with my female friends because my profile isn't my real profile, like FB, it's just an entry to VK. So, if I contact a girl I meet on another site, I don't want her to see my page with 20 female friends and a couple of guys. And after I see what some of you do with my personal info, I'm glad I did that.

Anybody can ask for friendship on VK, including spammers like that agency. I have gotten many. The reason they are followers is that I didn't accept the friend request.

Can you explain the steps involved in "hiding" a friend on VK?Step by step would be good.

You have to be joking about intrusion into personal info-- you posted link to "your" VK page.You advertised for friends here  .
Now you state it is not a real profile-- care to explain what profile it actually is?

To get a point very clear--personally I could not care less about you and what you do-- if any of it was true I have read more than enough!!
