The train and metro is a bit overwhelming for the non speakers. I eventually tried it on my second trip at DME when I had a lot of time to kill. If one is on a short schedule, it's probably not a good idea

No doubt it's much faster but, somethings are worth what you pay for them and a taxi into Moscow from DME is IMHO, one of them. Even with the easy accessible train. But, I don't speak or read the language.

In the ML vein of smart ass remarks: hire 3 gypsy kids to carry your luggage and pay for their fare into the metro. AMEX insures you for lost or delayed items anyway.
