I listened to our good prez' press conference yesterday and I just find myself really astonished at how our beltway circus seem to just want to make a permanent residency DC...

Everyone knew that no one knew what was in that god-forsaken Health Care Reform when it was forcibly jammed down all out collectives throats. Apparently, that wasn't the case....the White House knew all along some rotten egg were in that silly law, but instead of making it right, someone instead decided to recite what everyone in that nasty small circle of corrupted group knew this 'promise' was a farce. Making matters worst, it was politicized and recited by the top left-leaning politicians themselves.

...as early as 2009, they knew this was a lie! They need the folks who has their private insurance to be off their plans so they will be 'forced' to buy their insurance in the marketplace with higher premiums. That was the only way for this law to survive.


While that is simply shocking, what really upsets me is how this panned out in early October prior to the Government shutdown fiasco. The Republicans lobbied to de-fund the Law (which was stupid) and/or delay the individual mandate for a year just like the way Obama delayed the employer mandate.

Obama said this was non-negotiable and that we would veto that bill if it ever was presented to him by the conservatives. The Democrats demonized the Republicans for such a move calling them terrorists for using the fiscal budgeting period and threat of a government shutdown as a negotiating tool to 'politicize' their agenda.

Ted Cruz was crucified by the media, the polls, the Dems for the stern stand he took against this stupid bill. The Republicans were demonized.

So now that the entire septic truth had come out of this mess - OBAMA himself, as though he has the Constitutional right to do so, which he doesn't - decided to do what he warned he will veto before - amend the law which he crucified the Republicans of trying to do before. The Executive branch CANNOT amend a law.

He now faces the same bumbling moments he suffered with the  Syrian affair debacle with the Republicans in Congress. How can this stooge do this and get away with it?

I hope every single one of those folks who had their insurance cancelled because of this stupid law are the very same people who voted for this clown for a second term. This is fast becoming sweeter than had Romney win the last election.

The vast majority of the people who signed up on Obamacare so far had been those on Medicaid. With the reported 5 billion loss our USPA suffered last year (better than the 16 billion it suffered the previous year) - someone needs to pick up this tab, too. Then wait until the 'Dream' legislation kicks in.

People in USA are the problem, not the politicians

It’s the entitlement mentality of too many voters that has consumed Washington and led to its dysfunction. Putting healthy people in an environment where plague rages ensures they will likely contract the disease. What is needed is an entirely new (really an old) approach to government by “we the people” and by government itself.
 
It’s difficult to change Washington because too many benefit from its current practices.   The takers are powerful and anyone who seeks to alter risks isolation and condemnation when they try to rein in unsustainable spending.
 
Would a third political party help shock the two major parties into behaving more responsibly? Possibly, but not likely.  A third-party president, or a few members of Congress who eschewed the traditional party labels, would likely find themselves in the same rut if attitudes toward government and entitlement do not change. The problem lies less in Washington than in each American citizen.
 
Since the end of the Great Depression, many Americans appear to have abandoned self-restraint, individual responsibility and accountability in favor of government as provider, protector and guarantor. The notion that people are “owed” what others have earned is primarily responsible for our enormous and growing debt. We once promoted individual initiative and people who overcame difficult circumstances. Now we punish the successful and treat the unsuccessful as victims who have no hope of improving their lot without government.
 
Despite the fact — and it is a fact — that government does many things poorly and at too high a cost, too many of us continue to turn to it for salvation. Politicians encourage this because addicting more people to government handouts keeps them in power, solidifies their careers and keeps the special perks flowing their way.
 
Nothing would change Washington faster than the transformative idea that only we the people can make our lives better by our financial and moral choices.  Such a message will be labeled “harsh” by some, but it is necessary to restore a sick economy and a nation that needs to return to its roots. This return is the cure for our national dysfunction.

There's a promise Obama can keep. He's desperate to work out a deal with Iran to make himself look good that he left out the jailed American citizens in the negotiations, including the Christian pastor. He doesn't want Iran to back out of a deal by asking for something in return more than a halt to the weapons grade nuclear program. Truth is Iran is playing everyone for fools. When they and N Korea, need to buy time, they ask for freebies in exchange for slowing down their nuclear ambitions. When they have the knowledge to take their nuke programs to the next step, they break the deal. I'd figure the governments of the world would have learned by now of their tactics.

Another reason why this stupid law really should not be a law. If they're incapable of regulating in what they're doing, they have no business trying to decide what is good or bad for anyone.

I don't know what's worst, having our government provide *free medical* coverage for these Russian spies/Diplomats for well over 9 years, or the Soviet mentality of government reliant attitude. Even if it is a foreign government they're spying on.
