how did I get here
« on: December 19, 2013, 06:45:42 AM »
I'm currently staring out of the kitchen window of a Moscow appt., the streets are alternating between slushy & covered in ice. My RW is asleep in the bedroom. All kinds of thoughts are going through my mind, future plans,  doubts, trepidation, thrills.

I last wrote after my first Russian trip in February. I met 6 RW then & came away a little deflated as there was no 'results'. I remember somebody saying be glad you didn't find anyone on your first trip, & that made sense. A lot has happened since then. I wrote that 2 days before flying home I met a lady on badoo. She was very nice but after our metro tour she said over coffee that she wasn't looking for a man. But we emailed & out of the blue she invited me to 'drink some wine' in the south of France. We decided on June.

In May I met up with a RW from Yekaterinburg who was in the UK visiting her mum. I went to Cambridge to see her & we got on well although her English was at an early stage. Her 15yo son was a nice lad too. Son & mum came to visit for 4 days, 2 weeks after. The feeling was very different, she seemed colder to me & we didn't get to hold hands or sit close on the sofa as in Cambridge. I cut the visit short, drove them back & texted her mum (who speaks English well) asking if there was a problem & could she give me any advice on where I'd gone wrong. Her mum replied WTF are you on about, Anna really likes you! I don't think you get those kind of vibes from someone who likes you but I said ok & we communicated for a little longer with Anna saying how much she missed me & wanted to meet again. June was getting closer & the communication with badoo RW was warming up so I told Anna that it was best if we leave it.

Girlfiend has just woken up asking if I want a little sleep so will continue later.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right. HF

Why does it 'make sense'?
~There is no one more blind than those who refuse to see and none more deaf as those who will not listen~
~Think about the intelligence of the average person and then realize that half of the people are even more stupid than that~

Welcome back, vivefrancais.

I remember you and your first trip report.  Now I am confused.  Who is the woman waking up in your bed?

-  A new one from Moscow?

-  The Yekaterinburg Anna with a mama ready to help you with dating her daughter (please see BillyB's chronicles about mama's assistance)?

-  The Badoo woman who did not want a man but wanted to drink wine with you in France?
