You've proven in multiple posts that you are Russian, no matter what your international passport says...and those posts portray you as a traitor to Ukraine.

Of course, that might be because many of the internet access points are cut and many of the cell phone connections are down in Krim.  But why would that be?

Apparently my friend must be using his large antennae wrapped with aluminum foil to get his internet reception!!!! And gosh his cell seems to work fine..... :)

In Ukraine you would not be put in prison -Ukraine is trying hard to be a real democracy--that allows differences of opinion. Maybe you missed that? No need to answer. :)

Don't worry. Living in Krim, you will shortly be absorbed into the Russian Empire, with no human rights or free press.

Your comment is obtuse-- fact is communication is at the whim of the Russian invaders--fact not fiction. It was on and off intermittently-- and can stll be. The fact that you are not aware of it is simply ignorance.

yes, connection works perfectly well and without any disturbance.
They in Kiev prohibited  casting of several russian channels here in Ukraine but they definitely can't prohibit Russian sattelites flying above its territory sending signals. lol :D

Yes, ignorance...my friend spends much time on internet with not much problems, it does go out now and then but he tells me that can be normal. We have never had any interference yet....so maybe I am lucky then...

I am one who is engaged to a lovely, patriotic Russian-speaking Ukrainian who lives very near the Russian border, and who is embarrassed by the ignorant acceptance of the terribly false and hysterical Russian media propaganda by her Russian-speaking neighbors.

A foreign country places its uninvited troops in another sovereign nation and you say that is NOT an invasion?

In what alternative dimension do you reside?
An alternate dimention in which people use the actual definition of words for what they really mean.
Even assuming that the unidentified troops are actually Russian troops, they have not been "placed uninvited" as they were already based in Crimea, and were invited in.

Sure, if you're wrong then I guess there's not much of a reply that you can give

That's fine, I'm embarrassed by WM on these forums who can't accept that a RW would have a difference of opinion or even engage in civilized discourse, and instead have to denigrate her looks, her figure, her mental faculties or throw insults at her. Real classy.  :-\

If "the unidentified troops are actually Russian troops"? I am a Marine; I know what professional soldiers/marines look like...how they are equipped, the uniform appearance of their combat utilities and body armor, the way in which they carry their weapons. No flag patches are needed to identify their foreign origin and professional affiliation. Compare the occupying troops in Krim with the protesters on Maidan, wearing their extremely varied, amateur pseudo-combat clothing. They were obviously non-professional (remember the man with a colander on his head as a helmet?).

Voyager,

Even our resident Russian apologist (JustMe) says that they are Russian troops.  And she is there (or claims to be).

As to the difference between Russians in a port they have leased from Ukraine, and Russians occupying and controlling land that is currently Ukrainian territory (remember there isn't even a plebiscite scheduled until the end of March) even you should know that there would be consequences.

Those Ukrainian soldiers occupying the various different bases in Ukraine all have wives and children.  They were assigned to that territory because it is part of Ukraine.   They are there to protect it.  Now their lives are at risk and they are being threatened, every day, by Russian soldiers.  (Are we still marching to the same drummer, here, Voyager?)

The Crimean Parliament was sacked by pro-Russian enthusiasts.  Those are the people who called for a vote.  Unlike the Rada, where the entire body called for the ouster of Yanukovych, dissenting elected officials were not allowed to participate and evicted from the body.  (Still with me?)

The Rada went through three separate no-confidence votes - and survived them, before overturning itself when the Executive Branch chose to issue orders to disperse the EuroMaidan activists with force and with bullets.  That was too much for the elected law makers.  They voted no-confidence in the elected Executive Branch.  (I probably lost you somewhere.)

I am the first to support a FREELY elected legislative branch in Krim.  If such a group decided to leave Ukraine, Krim is an autonomous republic and I believe has the right to do so.  But I do not believe that local politicians get displaced by hardliners and then invite in Russia to enforce a straw poll vote to change the government is either binding or legal.  Moreover, I believe that the loyal Ukrainian troops stationed in Krim should be treated with the respect a defending home country deserves.  I don't believe that they should be in harm's way or endure the shit that they have had to put up with.

Invited in once the mystery soldiers occupied the legislative building in Crimea and "supervised" the election with no journalists present and no real reporting of what really happened and who voted...

I will say this about the Putinistas.  They maybe strangers to morality, compassion, decency and logic.  But they have Putin who is a real man.  What do we have really?  We have been caught off guard and flat footed on every turn.  Had it not been for the GUTS of the Ukraine people, this same scenario would be playing out in the Baltic's, Poland or Romania.  With the west, it is acts non verba and all or nothing at all.
