It's rumored that an Italian chef has invented a new dish in his honor: Pasta Putinesca  I hope someone besides Sandro finds that funny.

Maybe a word of explanation is necessary to non-Italians .

Pasta alla puttanesca (above in its traditional variant with spaghetti) is a savoury pasta dish served with a tomato sauce typically containing black olives, garlic, capers, peppers, and anchovies, probably of Sicilian or Ischian origin.

Alla puttanesca means "whore's style", but its origin is controversial :

Maybe a brothel-keeper in Naples used to serve this dish to the "guests"; or the color of the women working in brothels, multicolored in order to attract people, was the inspiration for the ingredients for that... dressing; or was created by Yvette la Francese (Yvette the French), still, a prostitute, in order to celebrate in a funny way her French (Provence) origin.
