Crimean Tatars demanded the creation of their own state
« on: March 23, 2014, 02:29:08 AM »

Quote
Crimean Tatars want their own state and declare the restoration of the national liberation movement.

TSN was informed about this by the chairman of the working group on the resolutions of complaint rallies of Crimean Tatars Nedim Khalilov.

The main goal of this movement is the restoration of the national state of the Crimean Tatar people, interrupted since 1783 .

According to Khalilov, until restoration of independence of Crimean Tatars in the Crimea must act legislation of Ukraine and international law, not the law of the Russian Federation.

Recall Majlis Mr Chubarov said that the Crimean Tatars "in any case will remain in their own land."

I would love to see Putin's first reaction to this.

I would love to see Putin's first reaction to this.

They can join the long list of peoples who want redress for past injustices.
If the Crimea was given back to the Tatars then perhaps the Byzantines could demand it back from them?
Perhaps the Scythians should demand Crimea back too?
Sadly, the fact is that wars have consequences, and picking the wrong side can be disastrous for a nation.
