Victory Day

I'm sleeping!! It's very early. Why is the phone ringing!! I answer and hear all this celebrating from my wife's friends. What is it they're saying? I give Val the phone and learn that it's Victory Day in Ukr.(and other FSU countries.) Of course I knew this but it slipped my mind. It's the 9th of May. This is a huge day in in E.E. I've been to 2 celebrations this time of year. It's our Memorial Day/Veterans Day/V.E. only celebrated 10 fold compared to ours.
 For all you E.E. men and women here. I wish you a BIG CONGRATULATIONS!!!  On this your day, your Victory over nazi Germany.

Elena told me this morning that she was depressed about not seeing "Real" fireworks today. Can't blame her as they don't have much of a show here in our little rinky dink city for July 4th or New Years.
