I just read that Obama is trying to get 500 million to arm and train the 'moderate' syrian rebels.  Another 500million....I went on to read this in the article:


The Syria program is part of a broader $65.8 billion overseas operations request that the administration sent to Capitol Hill on Thursday.


A few days ago in conversation with posters we were talking about foreign aid being a very low % of our federal budget....but now when you start coupling with this kind of money too....it is obviously a much larger %.....   I hope Obama is denied the 500million he seeks....Most of people are disgusted by our overinvolvement in these country's problems.  WE should not wind up being the deciding force, our wants shouldn't be front and center for other countries to take into consideration when they have their own problems.  It seems rather arrogant for us to think these countries should be doing what we think they should be doing, or we fund and arm the opposition, against the will of the majority of the American people's wishes.  I noticed the comments on the link are running over 100 to 1 against Obama's plan.
