The event, which lasted for about 3 hours, was also observed in Stari Grad (Hvar) and Rijeka Dubrovačka where sea levels rose for 2 meters (6.5 feet).

When the big ones (European and Asian continents) shift at Bosporus, the tsunami will be like none ever experienced to date.

Wiping out much of Crimea coast, Odesa, and even Putin's beloved Sochi . . . along with other areas on Black Sea coast.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

That is none experienced in written history. The flooding of the Black Sea when the Bosporus opened must have caused a bigger tsunami.

Interesting comparing the video footage with the official statement below:

Quote from: Maya Grin'ko, Assistant Chief of the Main Department of the State of Emergency Situations of Ukraine in Odessa region

A huge and unexpected wave wreaked havoc on Odessa's Witted beach on Friday.  Around 1pm local time, a wave with a crest reaching three meters approached and flooded the beach, Assistant Chief of the Main Department of the State of Emergency Situations of Ukraine in Odessa region Maya Grin'ko said.

CCTV footage from the scene showed the huge wave enveloping the beach and people scrambling for their belongings.

I'll agree with the last part, but a three metre crest?   Maybe one metre, but getting away from any unusual wave (as those people on the beach did) is most certainly the best thing to do.  And why not quote the actual time, instead of saying "around 1 pm?"  The video is time-stamped.

I agree three meters may be a bit of an exaggeration, but my wife had friends on the beach yesterday and they said it was higher than the video posted above. Odessa has many small coves and beaches so the surge could have doubled up on certain beaches. On this beach below you can see that the surge must have been more than a meter (past the 2 min mark).

Wouldn't this be more like a rogue wave?

Notice at about 0:50 to the far left on the video some guy collapsed and couldn't get up.
Lucky for him it wasn't a 10 foot wave.
