All buses at Borispol, at least through last summer, departed from Terminal B.  You hop on the airport bus and ride down from Terminal D to Terminal B.  The bus parking lot is outside of terminal B, a little towards Terminal F.

Many of the buses go through the main bus terminal in Kyiv.  But they are through buses.  Were you to select a bus to take you to Mykolaiv, you would get on that same bus at Terminal B.  You do understand that, unlike buses in the United States, these buses actually have assigned seats?  I made that mistake on my first trip to Kharkov.  Silly me.  The seat assignment is on the ticket.

Incidentally, the bus route that goes through Mykolaiv is the bus route that travels to Kherson.   The exit in Mykolaiv is not really a bus station, per se, but instead a kiosk.

Good luck on your travels, and make sure you have lots of fun.

I didn't know there was a hotel that close to Boryspil, does anybody have its name, or website?

Ick

I believe it is called "Airport Hotel"  as I stayed there for a night before.  It is a walking distance from the airport.  You can google it

FOUND IT FOR YOU:

http://kbp.aero/en/infrastructure/hotels/   - called  "BORYSPIL HOTEL"  this one is the nearest - nearer than 'Airport hotel'

And this bus will take you to railway station should you wish to travel by train

Hotel Korona is very close-- cross section of room types from ultra cheap up II
So many changes going on now-- be wary of advice on area of airport as a lot of construction and re-organising going on.
