My Trip to Belarus- In pictures
« on: July 14, 2014, 07:46:45 AM »
Hello all, I thought I would post some pics of my recent trip to Belarus with my girlfriend Olga. She had not been back home to visit since she left Belarus for USA on a green card lottery.

I found Minsk to be a very clean, and nice looking city. I couldn't believe how much construction is going on all over the city. We were there during the country's 70th anniversary of the liberation of Minsk during WWII.

Comments are welcome but please refrain from turning this thread into a political battleground.

All photos were taken at  the city center.

First 2 pics were taken in the oldest part of Minsk. The 3 photos of the T-34 were taken in the area of Minsk near the center where all the liberation of Minsk forces finally joined up.

Not political, but . . . Olga was already in USA on green card lottery !!

So what the he!! does she need you for Hector ?   8)

Anyway, nice pics; thanks for sharing.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Olga's friends took us to see the Stalin Line just West of Minsk. Its the remains of a heavily fortified position that stretched across the entire Eastern Front. This part of the line was discovered while they were building a new highway outside Minsk. It was turned into a memorial WWII Park as well as a dedicated museum of Soviet arms.

Thanks for sharing photos with us. I especially like that you don't mind sharing photos of yourself and you look like a good guy  :D

Interesting also to learn that Minsk is developing. Hope you and Olga are doing very nicely. Cheers to you two.
