We'll be there for about 2 weeks doing the family thing. If anyone wants to get together and drink a beer then let me know. I always like meeting new people when I go there.

Hey Greg,

Take your coat. It's still going to be cold.

Are you visiting your wife's family? What part of Kiev do they live? I am always interested in hearing about guys who are somewhat familiar with a certain part of Kiev that is't in the center.

Thanks.

Albert, what time of the year are you going to Odessa?

If it's in the spring, summer, fall, as you probably know there are so many fine outside places to eat that the smokers shouldn't be a problem.

I can't answer your question, I'm amazed at some of the information Bruno can find, maybe he can find out about non-smoking resturants in Odessa. Probably not many.

Hi

My plans for New Years fell through. Can anyone suggest some place to go in Kyiv on New Years Eve? Thank you!

Bruno,

Thanks for the URL but it is a pity that the list is dominated by  fast-food places and cafes...still gives us a reason to try the Potato  House! (Lilya and I rarely dine out.)

For New Years eve, go to Independance Square!  Don't be surprised if there isn't 100,000 people there...

Goombah, I heard today that the temp on New Years Eve is suppose to be +7, clear skies (most of today was -4). If this is the case I think you could see 220,000 or more on Khershaytk.
