May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,May He turn their ankles,
So we will know them by their limping.

God put your arm about my shoulder... and your hand over my MOUTH!

Wow! Quite an honor. The School of Mines - for those who may not be aware - is among the very best engineering schools in the country. Incredibly difficult to gain entrance, and tougher to remain.

Quite an achievement!

Absolutely awsome.

I know exactly how you feel, we felt the same way when our 20 y.o., (then 19) landed an internship at the Los Alamos National Labratory last summer.

Just think of the huge +++ it will be on his resume when he graduates.

Dick dated only ladies with children, He wanted a family with growing child or  children. We hit the JACKPOT, and caught the Gold Ring. :) :) :) :)

I have met several of these super achievers from the FSU... all are really outstanding kids....

I know, that my experience is with a group of like minded kids. But ...

Percentage wise I have to wonder if the mind-set that they come here with isn't a large factor in what they achive. They certainly are not lazy!

He will be seventeen next fall.

Mamma D, I hope I will be so proud of my children and grandchildren one day  :)
Great achievement, and yes the mindset has a lot do to with it.
If you think that schools are a waste of time and teachers are stupid chances are that you are wrong.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

I cried the day I came home from work and found Air Force enlistment papers on the coffee table....
I just knew He would not go on to higher education...

After two years in the service he found his calling... and began classes... He took an early dicharge and returned to school at University of Colorado- Denver campus. Made honor roll (a "c" average in High school) and passed his CPA exams first try.

Not all kids know where they want to go in life.....Some of mine have, and others took awhile to find themselves.... But in the end, not one of them gave up.

Some, like Basil takes my breath away....ALL, are contributing young adults, that any parent would be proud of.

Teach a child in the way he should go... and when he is old, he will not depart from it!  We are not told how old!  :)
