RWD "Private" Age Poll...

Agencies tell me the average guy looking in Ukraine is around 42 years old and wants a woman with no children and under 25 years old.  So it appears once a girl turns 32 years old she gets very little attention.  Just something to consider for guys who are not very picky on who they date.  A lot of 30 year old women with kids who will make good wives in the agency.  But the guys like the girls who the agencies meet at highschool / university and pay them for their pictures and answer the letters for them.   Plus pay them for meeting guys.  But 30 year old women who have never been married and/or do not have children can be a problem too.

I know "Age" is both a personal and sensitive topic for all - But thought with over 1000 members (not all married I understand) - that an "private" poll might help shed some light as to "age differences" here on the board without revealing any family secrets

My age NOW is different than when I started this, and when I found my wife... which is true of all the guys who have actually had a marriage last for a few years...

The age difference never changes... but the range does -- every year.

Yeah - Killer posted the poll a couple of years ago, and if ALL the respondents posted their information within a short time, then the results would have been more accurate.

Upthread someone recognized that their status had changed - so we changed the poll to allow members to change their votes and keep their status updated. If a person who crosses from one category to another keeps their information updated, then it *may* still be completely accurate, but I would expect only a fraction of those who voted originally ever update their vote.

That is one of the problems with an informal poll like this. While far from a scientific poll - it is helpful in that it is indicative, in a broad sense - especially since we've only existed for a few years, so the degree of error is unlikely to be TOO great.

When we conducted the Survey of Cross-Cultural Marriage and Divorce, we were more specific about the question asked, so that the results would be more statistically valid.

It's fine Dan!   I thought it was funny when he posted it and I still think it is funny.  If I had done the poll myself and was clever enough to have thought about it I would have done it the same way.
