Strelkov Versus Putin
« on: November 30, 2014, 12:32:29 PM »
What does it mean when two leaders from Russia contradict each other? How should the world interpret this? How do Russians interpret Strelkov's statements? Strelkov reveals Russia's involvement in Ukraine. See this interesting article with
Igor Strelkov (Girkin):

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/russias-igor-strelkov-i-am-responsible-for-war-in-eastern-ukraine/511584.html

'...According to Strelkov, the assault on the Black Sea town of Mariupol in September, which prompted concerns in Ukraine and the West that Russia has entered the conflict on a large scale, was conducted mostly by the Russian military "vacationers."

Doll, Would you please tell us what this means to you? Think about it calmly and reason it out.

Could he have acted on this alone and just happen to have found all the guns and tanks sitting alongside the road with the keys in the ignition?

""I was the one who pulled the trigger of this war," Strelkov said in an interview published Thursday with Russia's Zavtra newspaper, which espouses imperialist views.

"If our unit hadn't crossed the border, everything would have fizzled out — like in [the Ukrainian city of] Kharkiv, like in Odessa," Strelkov, who uses that nom-de-guerre meaning "Shooter" to replace his last name Girkin, was quoted as saying."

 Then this from Wikipedia

" By his own admission, he served in the Russian FSB until March 2013.[7] Ukrainian and EU authorities have identified him as a retired colonel of the GRU (Russia's external military intelligence organisation) who participated in the 2014 Crimea crisis."

I posted at the time this article appeared that Strelkov is falling into the celebrity trap.

He's probably starting to believe he's too big, too important to be touched and is telling his story for the notoriety " I'm da man. Nothing happens unless I'm ramrodding it" kinda thing.

He mouths off too much and he'll be "retired". You don't contradict 'The Boss' with out some consequences.

Agree, however it would be great to tease as much info as possible out of him first.    :)

Brass, you are right, but I think the take away is that Putin is promoting false 'facts' and ideas that are not based on the realities... Which is why it is so important to promote the truth, the realities. ie Photos and videos of Russian soldiers, military equipment, documentation of Russia's stealth involvement.

Also, I still think it would be a good move to somehow control Ukraine's border with Russia, including close inspections of convoys from Russia.

The Palace is full of intrigues - a house of mirrors.  Someone is protecting Shooter McGavin.  Change is coming.  It maybe worse than wee man.
