You exaggerate.  No surprise.  But if you want to discard lex parsimoniae for your fantasy of non-Russian aggression and non-Russian invasion, you will have to do so over these stacks of dead bodies.

You exaggerate.  If you want to act out emotionally dysfunctional fantasies, you will have to do so on your own time.

Thanks for the pm, LT.  I don't understand why you think you intimidate people by asking to meet up, but you don't.   You only make yourself look more deranged.  You are obviously a man who can't control his own emotions.

As much as I love playing pin the tail on the donkey there are other items to discuss:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2015/02/06/ukraines-currency-has-fallen-50-percent-in-two-days/

Ukraine’s currency just collapsed 50 percent in two days

IIRC that changed Feb. 1.

You mean like the time 99% of the people thought the world was flat?

There is a hell of a difference - those 99% of the people didn't have any sort of communications equipment or satellites, let alone the resources available now through the internet.

On the ground, a new study says that most Eastern Ukraine citizens do not support the separatists.

No, according to JayH, if 97% of the world thinks something it must be true.  Now you are saying most people have access to satellites?  No doubt internet made it easier to read and adsorb propaganda.

I assume they refused, rather than couldn't provide them.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

But you just said that Lavarov is an eminence and he was saying the truth at yesterday's meeting.

Lavrov is a laughingstock.  I am not saying this to disparage a man who he thinks is serving his country.  His lies are making a fool out of him . . .

Until recently I held Sergei Lavrov in very high regard. Now I find myself grieving inwardly for him.

Although not in the chain of succession, in foreign capitals around the world he is sometimes thought of as the 2nd most powerful/influential man in Russia. That being said, he is not interested in "politics" per se, and while extremely close to Putin, he is not part of the Kremlin's "inner sanctum."

What he does have, is the unbridled trust of President Putin and Prime Minister Medvedev. He is one of the few men in Russian government who can speak his mind without calling home to ask for permission first. He has been FM since 2004, and previously held various posts in the Foreign Ministry since the early/mid 90s. He has also served as the President of the UN Security Council.

He is a very strong character, not afraid to defend what he believes are Russia's interests. I see him not as a "Putinist," but as a Russian, first and foremost.

He can be gracious: he publicly laughed along with Hillary Clinton when she presented him a reset button that read "overload" instead of "reset" in Russian. Privately however, he wondered what kind of White House inhabitant would insist on bypassing their own Embassy where the halls are filled with American Russian speakers who could have caught the error and fixed it before Clinton, and by extension the new US president who had insisted that his green staff knew enough Russian, were embarrassed on the world stage.

He can also be blunt: finally out of exasperation he is known to have lashed out about then-US Ambassador Michael McFaul, as the former Ambassador seemed to have a knack of making an arse of himself during his first year in Russia. Obama had to call Henry Kissinger out of retirement and send him on a one-day visit to Moscow to first calm down the Russians, and then privately spank McFaul, before returning home.

We live in interesting times.

Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits that US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”
US President Barack Obama revealed the United States’ involvement in the Ukrainian crisis from its outset and admitted that the United States “had brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine.”

US President Barack Obama’s recent interview with CNN’s Fareed Zakiria reveals the United States’ involvement in the Ukrainian crisis from its outset and that the country worked directly with Ukrainian right-wing fascist groups, experts told Sputnik.

On Sunday, in his interview with CNN, Obama admitted that the United States “had brokered a deal to transition power in Ukraine.”

“Obama’s statement is reiterating something that the world public opinion already knew — the US was involved in the coup of [ex-Ukrainian President] Viktor Yanukovych from the start. History shows us that the US has overthrown numerous governments in Latin America, Asia and Africa and replaced them with leaders that ruled with a fascist ideology that proved useful for Washington’s geopolitical interests,” independent researcher and writer Timothy Alexander Guzman told Sputnik.

Global Research is known as a very biased site.

Obama stated that the US became involved when it was clear Yanukovych was not going to stay in power.  But that has never been hidden.

Doll is reporting Obama's exact words.

I had seen this before, yet dismissed it for two possible reasons: 1) it is Obama double talk typical of when he does not have a teleprompter or 2)  Obama is being quoted out of context.

Here is the interview from CNN's archives as well as a lengthy transcript of the complete interview that covered many topics.  The video covers only Obama's Russia comments.   The "brokered a deal" words come at 1:20.

http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2015/02/01/pres-obama-on-fareed-zakaria-gps-cnn-exclusive/

Obama seems to take credit for the overthrow of Yanukovych.   I have trouble believing the US was the key player nor do I know what was done by outside agents.  In my opinion, Obama should clarify what he meant by this statement.

Who knows?  Maybe Putin did indeed take a jab at Putin after hitting the reset button early in his tenure and later witness Putin allowing Obama to be mocked in Russian public as  a monkey eating a banana.

If true that Obama brokered a deal for transition of power, the really bad part is not helping Ukraine afterwards.   If we encourage a country to take a bold step knowing it will upset the sleeping Russian bear, we are cowards as well as wrong for not giving massive aid to help Ukraine defend its borders when the enraged bear comes for revenge.

Then again maybe this is "Please, Brer Fox, please don't throw me into the briar patch." In other words Ukraine was willing to lose 1) Crimea and the Russian military bases and 2) the eastern Ukraine rust belt.  The remainder is definitely pro-Ukrainian  and the core of what eventually could become a vibrant economy.  That makes no sense because if true Ukraine would have negotiated something with the rebels early before all the bloodshed.
