What I was getting at is why haven't I seen it on US media outlets?  It is newsworthy in my opinion, but our news hasn't made much or anything of it.   Or maybe it is a nothing event...

I don't hold such a jaundiced view of the Western press.  I think sometimes they get it wrong, and that is why reading various sources is important.
