I just happened to be browsing sniffing in Ukraine and know a bit about it also. he US and it's Euro and other allies need to stop Russia before it succeeds in it's goals of dominating everything it can.

What is your problem with Ukraine?  What has Ukraine done to you?  You are complaining about nonexistent monies funneled into Ukraine by the US.  You have NEVER proved the US has done anything in Ukraine.  Truth be told Ambassador Pyatt negotiated Yanukovych to stay in power long after he left.

...so why aren't YOU fighting for what you believe in? Obviously I don't believe this is the right fight for us, so I'm sure as heck not going to participate, or try to pressure our representatives to make others here fight. I don't know his age, however generally speaking a country sends young men in the age range of 18 to 30 as the youngest guys are the most fit and have the most testosterone pumping through their veins.  Younger guys are usually more prone to follow orders as well. 

When he said "we" I'm pretty sure he meant that if the USA ordered troops there to fight alongside Ukrainians, that Australia and New Zealand would want to send their best young combat troops as well, because we are historical allies (as well as the British and the Canadians).

 ukraine is home to some of my family , so we have skin in the game , and if things got into  a WW3 SCENARIO i would put my hand up ,

Still have to wait for your master (the USA) to take the lead it sounds like.  And if we don't, you will stay home and stew, instead of doing what you think is important/right.

Ha!  But thus far most of America is not behind all the wacky ideas many are posting here....I don't speak for America, but a lot of people feel similarly on this issue, and I'm one voice!    There is nothing nonsensical about the viewpoint, you just don't like it.   A similar viewpoint is weighing in with the Western leaders, and the decisions/actions they are taking....that is obvious.   The 'backbone' of this country in 2015 is probably not who you think it is actually.
