Russian authorities said Wednesday that they had completed an investigation into a 23-year-old woman accused of killing an Uzbek migrant worker with a shard of glass.

... A report by local news site Lipetsk Media said that the woman, Kristina Azovtseva, was defending herself and her girlfriend because the man attacked them while they were kissing.

Citing friends of Azovtseva, the report said she and her girlfriend were guests in the man's apartment and had imbibed a considerable amount of alcohol before the host became enraged at the kiss and attacked Azovtseva.

I wish the report would have contained more details.

Firstly - the man is supposed to be a Muslim Uzbek.  The implication is that the alcohol that fuelled the drunkenness was supplied by him, or was at least in the apartment.  What sort of good Muslim would supply alcohol in such quantities?

Secondly - the girls are lesbians, so surely they made him aware of this.  Either he was expecting some sort of "girl on girl" action, or perhaps a threesome to fuel his fantasy.  Neither instance justifies him attacking the girls after possibly experiencing a change of heart.  Did they dare to threaten his manhood by rejecting him?  If he was the only man there, what would it matter?

Of course, we will never know the answers to these questions, but there's obviously far more behind the killing than the brief details published in this report.

Agree the evidence is in the room, and you have to be a witness fast on the scene to get that smell knowledge. How we do we the presupposed lesbians just didn't set it up. This is another question worth asking before Amerikanski's start prejudging.

The man attacked them while they were kissing, they didn't threaten him with
a shard of glass first. Nobody knows from reading the article how brutally he
attacked them. It certainly could have been life threatening. 

Generally speaking men are much larger and stronger than women. Where did
the girl find the shard of glass? usually shards of glass aren't lying around. Possibly
from something the man broke?

How can a woman protect herself from an attack from a man? if she doesn't have a
weapon then usually she can't protect herself. She must wait until the man stops, gets
too tired to continue or kills her.

The story is very short on details and unless somebody finds a follow up story the
thread was pretty much done after the initial article. We could all speculate on the
situation but without more details it would only be speculation like the scenario I
posted above. It could have gone down a hundred different ways. The girls could
have been relatively innocent or completely manipulated events with plans to kill the
man from the very start.

Since nobody knows what happened and didn't want to wildly speculate the jokes
started flying instead.
