Your Favorite Bond Girls
« on: April 05, 2015, 05:15:14 PM »
A cable TV network here has shown all the James Bond films over the last month.  Many of them feature the Cold War rivalry between Britain and the USSR.  But they all feature the famous Bond Girls. I had the idea to post a poll to see which are the forum's favorite Bond Girls.  I haven't seen all the Bond films but I found a website that contains a rundown of them, complete with photos. I have used the photos shown on that site unless I determined that they didn't adequately reflect a particular girl's appeal.

http://www.007james.com/articles/list_of_james_bond_girls.php

Each film contained lots of Bond Girls but I will list only one or two for each film, and in for some films I will skip them entirely. If anyone has a particular favorite that I didn't list, post a reply with her photo and I will add her to the poll.

I will write the girl's name (and sometimes her character name), along with the film in which she appears, above her photo. Here goes:

Ursula Andress in Dr. No, the first Bond film:

Daniela Bianchi as Tatiana Romanova  in From Russia With Love:

Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore in Goldfinger:

Claudine Auger in Thunderball:

Martine Beswick in Thunderball (Martine, a former Miss Jamaica, also played a gypsy girl in From Russia With Love):

Diana Rigg in On Her Majesty's Secret Service:

Jayne Seymour in Live and Let Die:

Britt Ekland in The Man With The Golden Gun:

Maud Adams in The Man With The Golden Gun (she also appeared in Octopussy, but I will only list her once):

Barbara Bach in The Spy Who Loved Me:

Carole Bouqet in For Your Eyes Only:

That is the first batch. After I add the next batch in a new post I will create the poll.

I first fell in love with RW watching James Bond movies as a child. Someone here educated me that none of those Russian spies were even Russian. Too late. I was hooked.

Denise Richards as Christmas Jones in The World Is Not Enough:

Sophie Marceau as Elektra King in The World Is Not Enough:

Halle Berry in Die Another Day:

Eva Green as Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale:

Olga Kurylenko in Quantum of Solace:

I almost included Caterina Murino as Solange Dimitrios from Casino Royale but didn't want to look for a good photo of her. Someone in the chatroom suggested her and found a good photo. Here she is:

Good thread ;D

I could have chosen 10, but when I finished my final selection was surprised to see how many I had in common with others..

Big 'Complaint'..you 'forgot' Maryam d'Abo - from 1987's 'The Living Daylights' ..‘ the only Bond leading lady who didn’t have to take my clothes off,’ she claims

I have met her in real life - she has worn well for her age - born 1960

Along with Olga Kurylenko she can claim a former USSR connection - as her Mum was Georgian - she played the part of Czech Musician in her Bond Film and Olga Kurylenko played a S.American ..

So, d'Abo was the most 'authentic Soviet' role  ;D

.....unless you know better...

I'll add her to the poll. I should remind everyone that you should be able to change your votes until the poll closes.

1) you're welcome

2) I tried to change my vote but couldn't do it, even though I'm almost positive that when I made the poll I checked the box that allowed people to change their votes. Admins/Supermods, do you have a way to make that possible?

Ah, well you've missed one, Larry.

The incomparable Dame Judi Dench who played the intrepid "M" character.

She deserves honorable mention.

Interesting choice, Brass.

When we were at Disneyworld, there was a display of gowns worn by stars in different movies.  One was an Elizabethan gown worn by Dame Judi Dench.  I was shocked at how small it was.  She must be very petite.

Here is list of all the Bond girls.

I have heard from a couple of people, who either know Lois Chiles, or have seen her, that she is breathtakingly beautiful IRL, with the most gorgeous skin all of them have ever seen.  They all said her beauty does not translate on screen.

I would have put her in the poll except 1) it was taking some time to post pics, and 2) I hated Moonraker.  But she was beautiful. If anyone posts a pic of her I will add her to the poll.

How much closer to a true Bond girl could you get than the one and only Samantha Bond?

She is Polish by ethnicity, and moved to Sweden.

Here is one more Bond girl: appearing in "For Your Eyes Only".

What are your thoughts about her?

Jayne Seymour and Olga Kurylenko are tied in the poll. I urge someone to vote in order to break the tie.

you left out Corinne Dufour on purpose because you didn't like Moonraker. No fair
