Please advice what we need to visit Canadian side of Niagara falls for day or two... I have Green Card, She got tourist visa to USA. Can we get pass right at the border or we need to visit Canadian embassy and ask for visa for her?

Why complicate things during her visit to USA?

Look at the water falls from the USA side.
Don't be so greedy.

And ignore Canadians who say the view is better on their side.  It is not true.  What they do is use some clever optical illusions to fool those foolish enough to cross over to their side.

They talk somewhat funny on the other side anyway.
Somewhat similar to northern Minnesotans and those people in the movie "Fargo."
No need to subject her to that.

Thanks ML. Great and perfectly polite answer. Got it! For sure we can enjoy our trip to Niagara from US side. And we will.

By the time you get a transit visa, which is highly unlikely, she'll be gone back to her country. AND if you cross the border to Canada, she will get a free airline ticket back home, courtesy of the Canadian government.

I used to joke with my wife every time she was bringing one of her relatives to visit. Let's buy a one way ticket and on the last day visit the Canadian-side Niagara Falls.

It will needlessly complicate things.  Plenty to do in the USA.

Both sides are interesting. Visit again too, when everybody is a resident.
W/O proof they will turn you around @ the Canadian ck point.

 Just thought...if we had a Niagara River on the Texas border, there sure would be less wetbacks coming over.
