An 13-yo Romanian Girl - Truly Amazing

My wife and I watched it together with tears in our eyes. 

She is not sure but believes this piece is from  the opera, "Sylvia."

It's Nessun Dorma from the opera Turandot. She's not the first or even second to sing it on a major talent show. My favorite was done in 2007 by a phone salesman in Britain's got talent. He went from a nobody to winning the contest, singing in front of the queen and touring with the most famous opera singers in the world. He made albums, books and a movie was done on his life.

Too easy . It was one of Big Luciano's cavalli di battaglia (war horses):

Rather strange that a young girl, with what sounds like a mezzosoprano's range, should choose a tenor's aria . Probably she did it because it's so well-known . She had to transpose down the original score by an octave or more to manage it.

Anyway, she has a very promising voice and, with good schooling, could make her name in opera if she pursues the career.
